I did with the previous generation shuffle, no problems. When I last looked into it there were issues with the ones with voiceover. Also managed to do it with an old touch witha few workarounds.
That's good to hear. Seems there are no issues with the voiceover one (Shuffle 4th gen) when using that script I linked to in my previous post.

I'd buy a Sansa Clip instead. Not much difference in size, fits more and, if you want, you can actually choose which track you want.
Well the Sansa Clip is about half the price of the Shuffle and boasts tons more functionality, but it's double the height, double the thickness and it's too much for what I want. The iPod is perfect with the exception of the dance required to update it.

Anyone running iDevices on Linux? I fancy an inexpensive Shuffle for use on the bike due to it's simplicity and convenience.
According to this blog post, it looks like one can simply copy MP3s directly to the iPod and run a small python script to update the database on the device.
Anyone doing anything similar?

...something like this but with a stylish bigxtop spin.

Hey Jordan,
Would it be possible to produce something a little bigger than your phone pouch? I'd like to be able to keep a compact camera handy on my bag strap.
Ideally, I'd love something similar in size (and functionality) to the tlevel utility pouch.

But all of this is moot outside a group situation so let's jot down some dates for the next one.
Can possibly do Thursday night, Monday day, maybe an evening next week? Then can definitely do the following Sunday all day and night.
Yes, let's do this.
I can probably do Monday and I can definitely do some evening next week.

I don't really do multi modal transport except for the odd occasion but the convenience of being able to take it in places, fold it up and put it in a supermarket trolley and simple front bag options appeal to me. Is this indulgent madness?
Those are two of the main the reasons I have mine; effortless luggage capabilities and not having to lock up. I've never done multi modal transport in the year I've owned it.
I also use the Brompton as my "wet weather bike" if weather is absolutely terrible as, unlike my other bikes, it has full mudguards (and brakes).
In addition to all of the above, the option to wear casual shoes/clothes is a huge convenience too.
