There are only a few which take it seriously, and even fewer who are any way competitive at home and away.
Will find out more about England in the winter test series in India - tough.
That SA Aus test shows how important great players are to great results - I reckon most half decent experienced club captains/coaches could have been put in charge of the Aussie side from 93 - 2004 and results would not have been much different.
But now they need a development strategy, much better scouting, a team manager and a bunch of better players.
We on the other hand are lucky as the cover in the pace bowling department is grand, we have some talent coming through in other positions ( and decent batting cover. the only area we have a weakness in is Swann ) and a management structure which blends results and development pretty well. Happy days.

Jambon
I know it been a couple of pages since this....and I have not kept up on all the responses.....but.
Please tell me somebody has made a joke referencing the Father Ted episode with the Pat Mustard character, you know the joke about the getting his huge tool in Mrs Doyles box and Father Crilly jumping to an understandable but massive assumption.
Cos the lowest spanner in your shed hits that spot so sweet.
A Finbar Saunders moment if ever there was one.
