Pistolero what frame? I'm 5'9 and ride a 16", lovely and chuckable, don't go bigger. Try it with a 70mm stem and it'll remain fun, longer will give more breathing room if you want to race, you lose this stem swapping option if you choose a larger frame.

why turn it down? My GF rides with one of these, when I follow her it's a bit annoying but I'd rather we were visible as far in advance as possible. The epi-hunt mode is a bit wearing though.

I use a very similar combo to Lucifer, Hope Vision one up front and a narrow but very bright rear. Fibre flare? Pah. Even Tesco / Asda do better rear lights for a fiver. No excuse for not having a good bright rear. Like a randy baboon.

I've a 50's Holdsworth which I believe originally had 27" wheels, it's currently running 700c, but I'm considering changing them for something different. Should I go back to 27" wheels to close some of the clearance or am I better off sticking with 700c for the greater number (I'm assuming this) of wheel / tyre options available. I'm very budget conscious and don't want to limit myself unduly. I'd ideally like to find some chrome / silver / alu finish rims, rather than black.

soak in plusgas (rare nowdays), wd40 or diesel is supposed to be excellent penetrating. blow torch on crank arm? maybe not directly after spraying with oil though.
