Hey All,
I have just joined after lurking for ages - and have also requested to join the lfgss team for the tfl cycle challenge - hopefully I can add quite a few miles to the team's total, as I commute from Staines to Euston by bike most days.
BTW, my name is Richard and I have 2 fixed gear bikes - an old-ish Kona Paddywagon that has seen better days and a new Specialized Langster (groan, groan, but I had limited choice with the company cyclescheme). I also ride MTB lots (mainly XC, I have a Kona Kula Primo that has travelled to Wales, Scotland, Alps and Spain), a Felt road bike (for Triathlon duties) and a BSD Forever BMX (although my son has custody of that baby at the moment).
Take care, ride safe.
Richard.

I have just joined lfgss after lurking for ages, and also have joined the tfl cycle challenge. I have sent a request to join the lfgss team on the tfl site - I commute from Staines to Euston by bike most days, so will be adding 36 miles per day to the team, plus whatever else I do at the weekends - hopefully my request will be accepted !!!
Is anyone doing the 'steelman' triathlon on 3rd July? It is based at Dorney Lake near Windsor. And has anyone done a triathlon at Dorney Lake before? I'd like to know what the bike and run sections are like. I have a feeling that I will struggle to keep track of the laps - 8 laps cycle and 4 laps run. Anyone got any tips for this?
Oh, and I haven't ridden my geared bike for nearly 2 months - I hope I pemember that I can use gears and can freewheel if needed !!!
Cheers, Rich.
