I guess that's what I need, I don't have one.
There is a lot of personal preference and at the same time it doesn't really matter... We are an Android house so have Chromecast. Roku starts really cheap if you don't want to spend much. I assume iPhone owners splurge on Apple TV but it seems a bit expensive to me, perhaps I'm missing the USP.

Why is it awful?
Because you end up with half a dozen pensions in private pension companies that gently hike up the fees and get rich while people don't contribute nearly enough anyway.
The government automatic minimums are ridiculously small. I might feel a bit differently if they had been set around the cost of something like an old police pension which is probably 20%+
Financial literacy can be eradicated if we taught kids sensible things like personal finance at school.
They tried some of that when I was in school and yet my sister is a complete muppet with money. A professional pension manager is a better option for more than half IMHO.

The private sector has basically closed all final salary schemes so it seems fair to do something similar for public sector workers
When the private sector does something awful we should legislate to stop them. Shifting the risk and responsibility from a few authorities to millions of mostly disinterested and often financially illiterate individuals is the wrong thing to do.

wouldn't handing sovereignty to the Chagossians themselves, rather than to Mauritius
The Chagossians are quoted in some reports as excluded from discussions so it does seem like nobody cares about them.
All seems a bit irrelevant since the military base will remain on the biggest bits of land for at least 99 years and the whole lot will be under water before that.

Is this the sentencing of the JSO folks?
caused £10,000 worth of damage to the gold-coloured frame
Blimey, frame repairers are well paid these days.
Staff at the gallery were worried the soup may have dripped through the protective glass
The glass worked. The staff worry unnecessarily and need to relax a bit.

I went swimming on Saturday. There were a load of people that were swimming who were putting on shoe covers in the entrance to the changing room. I hate it.
Spectators aren't allowed poolside. There is a separate spectator area which has access elsewhere.
The shoe covers are reasonable for parents of young children having lessons but nobody else should be using them.
