Took this out for a Christmas morning ride yesterday - still needs lots more work:
-Better tyres
-New Forks
-Proper road bars
-Failed to get off the pedals so I may have to take the crankset off
-Put a rack on.

There's Morley Brothers in Milton which is strong and its around £60-70 but it does take a while.

Alternatively, there's Armourtex in London. They're cheaper - like £40 but you have to get your frame down there. The finish they provide there is top quality and it's very quick.

So I bought a Raleigh Banana frame off eBay about 4 years ago. I built it up myself (poorly as you can see by the seat post). This was my first fixed gear bike so I've kinda become attached to it so the plan is to turn it into a nice commuting bike for the winter months coming.

Over time, I got rid of some of the parts so now it's just a frame with crankset and seat and a collision caused the forks to bend.

So the plan is to:
-Straighten the forks or failing that get some others
-Get some wheels with some wider tyres (Probably Marathon Pluses 28s)
-Attempt to get the pedals off to put on some SPDs
-Put on drop bars with two brakes
-Mudguard and rack it up

Is it easy to put threads on any of those forks?

The one in BA had been cut too short..

Now to finish it off I'm going to change the stem (something more aggressive), change the bars, change the forks to get better clearance and possibly change the dropouts.
