yeah that sounds good, i want a v on the back at least, just to get it out of my system. i have a goldtec front on cxp33 which is staying for now, maybe i will re-lace it to a new rim at some point. and a system ex on dt585 rear, which is not staying, both are 32h. Interested to see what yours looks like with the low profile rims.

I like those brakes that have a quill system, they can be made to look really clean. Anyway it looks good, now see how little you can use it! maybe you can convince yourself to go brakeless. Also recovering your kashimax gets my vote. :)

The front rim is painted, but because of the shitty BH i am waiting for my new seat post, and i will get a pic up as soon as i have it on. I also ordered a 17t miche carrier type cog. Sit tight i hope to have it sorted thursday, friday latest. :)

EDIT: still unsure what to do for a rear wheel, all i know is that i want a phil hub, no idea on the colour or rim... suggestions welcome!

It doesn't make sense to have a lugged fork on a fillet brazed/welded frame, one or the other. I would still keep it like that if i had one though.

Thanks mate, I would like an njs seat like yours has too, but i've heard they are not the most comfortable. I would go for a crosstop lever or similar, would allow you to keep the track drops and the good looks. :)

Nice to see another vivalo, it looks great. I also found 48-18 a bit on the easy side, i've just ordered a 17t, 48-17 being the much raved about ratio. Also it would be a shame to see road bars on it imo, it does look very well balanced as it is now, and track drops look much nicer.

I've just ordered a Nitto NJSP72 seat post, that should really improve the look. I'm also painting the front rim today.

This has got me thinking too, i had the idea of deep rims, but the pretty low profile rims do look so good on traditional track frames.

Thanks, but i am a bit of a perfectionist, i don't think i could live with it like this, i really want it all one colour again. I think you would agree if you saw it in the flesh. i'm still deciding what colour to paint it though.

I'm never satisfied myself, I will just build something else when I'm done, I get as much enjoyment out of building them as I do riding them. :)

Hmm i think that answers my question, i'm not looking for all njs parts but some parts i really want, the jag stem for example. Damn, i think you might have just swayed me to buy the sp72 haha. cheers

Thanks for the comments, yeah the rims are painted with rattle cans, i've painted quite a few things before and this has come out nice, so i will be doing the front soon.

As jonnylamb pointed out, the story with the frame was that the seat tube was replaced, and it hasn't been repainted since then. I'm not 100% sure but i think it was silver with that lilac sort of colour on the head tube and seat tube originally. I am considering getting the whole frame repainted that same lilac colour of the head tube, but i am open to suggestion if anyone has any other ideas?

Also now deciding which seat post to use, i am thinking the nitto s83 but a part of me really wants an sp72 the njs version of the s83 pretty much, what do you guys think?

I'm going to paint the front rim when i have some masking tape, no brakes, the frame is staying un-drilled. :)

Thanks all for the comments. Update, Concor saddle, folding gator hardshell, and bar tape fitted. I also painted the rear rim, and fitted an 18t in place of the 19t, looks much better i think.

I would have a black phil ideally, but is single sided fixed enough? or would it make more sense to shell out for the double fixed? sorry for being annoying.
