That looks great. Both of them.
May I say that the front mudguard should be attached behind the fork crown. It will be a better fit as the flat bit will rest at the bottom of the crown between the blades. It will be a more rigid setup and won't flap about much on rough terrain. Then you could carefully bend the plate so the guard follows the curvature of the tyre.
Also front catcher is not catching at the moment. -

Nice project.
Are the flanges going to be made out of steel then?
May I just say (and this is without knowing anything about engineering/material stress/etc) that the flanges do not seem beefy enough. Like the cutouts are too big and might need more material between spoke holes.
Aesthetically I prefer round flanges, but that is just me.
Looking forward to the final result. -
Yes, I had the same problem.
I've lined the inside of the clamp with electrical tape to stop the metal from scraping the paint in the process.
I then used a longer bolt to slowly bring the 2 halves of the clamp together and once in place, I've replaced it with the original one.Filing could be an option.
You just need to get rid of the sharp corner of the clamp.
I've recently filed a Campag band on mech to fit on the Bates when I've encountered the same problem. I worked a treat. -

This could be an option.
Otherwise a shim with a quill stem, but I don't know if it will work well, or it is a recipe for disaster with a heavier steering than a solo bike.
I'll be using a shim on mine but it is and old frame that has got a headclip headset, so double safety with the expanding quill.http://www.amazon.com/Nitto-Stem-Column-Adapter-threadless/dp/B001LXM5W6

Hi everyone,
I am trying to gather parts for a tandem project and before I jump onto buy a TA reproduction tandem chainset and Kalloy seatposts, I would like to try to find the following:
*) TA tandem chainset or just the cranks, like the picture attached would be ideal, though no need for BB or pedals. Neither the chain guards, though it would be a nice touch if they are there.
170mm arms length.*) 2x 26.8mm matching seatposts, non aero. Shimano 600 ideal, Ultegra also considered but would have to find 2, so the Kalloy route might be. In good condition please, not beater material.
I hope it is ok I have used a picture of a set sold in the forum.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks -

Also interested in the bag if @knowthejo doesn't take it.

If you split I'd be interested in the chainset, depending on price/arm's length.
