Also not true. The pavements are cleaned every day (in the posh areas at least), with moto-dogshit hoovering up all the little fouling left by the lil'cute pooches.

If Italy has got it so bad in the north. Why have we not heard a peep from Switzerland, France and the bordering countries?
France is currently ranked at #5 for confirmed cases (1,000+).
Gatherings of 1k+ peeps are now banned, 150+ schools closed, Corsica is having it big time it seems and so is the East of the country.
Obvs the UK media are concentrating on stories impacting British citizens as this resonates most with their audience.
I was planning to go to Paris on business end of this month and the trade fair has been pushed back to June for now. I was also hoping to go see my family next month but that's on hold till further notice. For now I'm totally happy to stay put and do more staycation (indoor). -

I'm struggling to even open the lovely issues of Rouleur that I keep getting (must unsubscribe asap), plus I want to reclaim some shelf space.
I've got all issues from circa 2012 maybe 2011.
Ideally would love for someone to take them all but in this digital age I'm not even sure there's a market for this sort of item.
They're all in mint condition.

We caught Parasite over the weekend. Sunday afternoon and the room was full. In Croydon. For a film shown with subtitles. The power of the Oscars. When you think that it won top prize in Cannes last year and did not get shown then (in Croydon at least, we don't have a local Curzon).
I enjoyed most of it. Part from the last part when it goes a bit Old Boy on you. Sorry for spoiler.
A solid 7.5/10 from me. I think my gf enjoyed it even more. -

Definitely "wear and tear" over dimmer feature. The display until recently used to work fine. Sharp and bright. Now I'm lucky to start off with something "dimmed" then after a few minutes all backlighting is gone and it remains dark. :(
I haven't contacted any specialist service shops about it yet but I'd like it to work (ideally). -
My CD player's LCD display is rather faint suddenly while the other 2 units are fine. It actually looks worse IRL than on the picture. I opened the box up and there was hardly any dust and looked all nice and clean.
Am I likely to get this fixed cheaply?
I have no idea if a dodgy unit could be used as "screen donor" for mine. Is it a big job to swap it out? (most likely not to be done by myself, just to clarify). -
This is fckg awful and I hope not the first of many more to come.
We had a Polish guy beat up to death in the days following the Referendundum results. These people don't realise without Forrins the country would probably slow right down. I feel lucky that living in London you're mostly spared these sorts of xenophobic displays however it's scary. -
Is there going to be replastering and some decorating involved afterwards?
We had some lesser work done including whole new bathroom, plastering of some walls and ceilings, flooring laid, etc. The whole took like 9-10 weeks iirc (maybe 12 can't remember for sure).
We were still living in but my partner found it really stressful. I was okay and loved seeing the little baby steps each day working up towards the finished product. It was worth it. If you have got the option to move out it'll be better for your family AND the builders. It might even enable them to work faster. Although I do think that 3-4 is unrealistic. Are you drawing a contract with them?

Sonos have been listening to 'the noise' it seems. Or least have realised the PR disaster they've created for themselves.
We heard you. We did not get this right from the start. My apologies for that and I wanted to personally assure you of the path forward:
First, rest assured that come May, when we end new software updates for our legacy products, they will continue to work just as they do today. We are not bricking them, we are not forcing them into obsolescence, and we are not taking anything away. Many of you have invested heavily in your Sonos systems, and we intend to honour that investment for as long as possible. Whilst legacy Sonos products won’t get new software features, we pledge to keep them updated with bug fixes and security patches for as long as possible. If we run into something core to the experience that can’t be addressed, we’ll work to offer an alternative solution and let you know about any changes you’ll see in your experience.
Secondly, we heard you on the issue of legacy products and modern products not being able to coexist in your home. We are working on a way to split your system so that modern products work together and get the latest features, whilst legacy products work together and remain in their current state. We’re finalising details on this plan and will share more in the coming weeks.
Whilst we have a lot of great products and features in the pipeline, we want our customers to upgrade to our latest and greatest products when they’re excited by what the new products offer, not because they feel forced to do so. That’s the intent of the Trade Up programme we launched for our loyal customers.
