I've got a sound clip and a video showing it spinning. Everything works and I even gave the stylus a quick clean this morning. And it sounds the better for it.
Any questions let me know.

A "nothing posh" stylus will likely be sub-£20.
Amazon will do the Audio Technica VM95E for £42 atm (I had the VM95ML on my other TT for 2 years of semi-intense usage).
I'm not on comm and there are other brands out there (Goldring, Ortofon, etc.).The good thing with the tonearm (I think) is that it gives you the option to fit a DJ-style headshell should you be tempted.
I've also edited the description (not a Shure cart but Ortofon).

Only selling as it's surplus to requirements. Everything works.
Cart included but new stylus will be required.I've decided to sell my second TT, a Pioneer PL-12D from c.1973 ('Made in Japan') as it's just sitting there unused.
Professionally serviced by Brett at HEAR in Lewes and upgraded with tonearm rewired and modern power cable.
Smoke Grey lid has various light marks but no cracks.
Lovely dark brown wooden plinth.
Ortofon cart (new stylus required).
I still have the Ortofon VM33 mkII it came with originally.
£280 collected from CR0 (or RH16, Sussex if I must).Strictly collection only
Will add some pics shortly.

If you go down the shop route, ask for shop credit/trade-in as opposed to cash maybe (they may have something you like the look of).
You're almost guaranteed very low sell price with most shops. And it's worth shopping around if you can.
Selling direct (discogs/eBay/local fair) will bring you the most ££ obvs (and could be fun). -

I noticed quite a few tabac fields in France which I haven't seen for a long time.
Maybe it's booming again. I doubt they feed it to the cattle. Are you sure it's not sugar beets?
I spent a few summers when I was a teenager picking up leaves in tobacco fields. Back-breaking, low-paying (obvs undeclared by the local slavedriver of a farmer) tough job.
The dark nicotine residue on your finger nails after a week's work is enough to get anyone never to take up smoking.(hourly rate paid to us at the end of the season was something like £1.35 c. 1987-88)

Hello garden people,
I cut down 4 weeks ago a tree from our small London garden. Applied some root killer to the stump, which has now turned a dark shade of brown. Should I cut/dig out the roots to stop them from growing back or just leave the nasty chemicals to do the job for me?
I was planning to apply some more in a couple of weeks actually.
The tree was a 4-5 y.o. fig tree, trunk about 20cm diam. -
No problem.
I understand completely. Thanks for letting me know
