^^ I take it you've asked your vet already?
My sister sends me vaccines from her surgery so I inject my cats myself. I'd offer to get some extra doses and come over, but I think we'd have to register your boy to her clinic.
Hmmm. We have paramedics riding around London on bicycles, so there must be a velo vet out there!

Maia, my green-eyed girl, spent most of this morning playing a game called - Let's Use The Stupid Human As A Towel.
It's played by dashing outside and running around in the rain (with brother Moses), then sprinting back in while squeaking and singing noisily (so that stupid human is fully aware of presence), then, while coat is still soaked, use whatever surface is available (bed, kitchen table, desk, rim of the bath-tub) to launch onto said human (making it seem like affection when it's actually a cunning ploy to transfer all water in wet coat to dry clothes of human. < Repeat multiple times.

That was a recommendation and intro from another founder we know who thinks what we're doing will change the world.
I actually think what he's doing will change the world too, he's working on social network for the family, a way to keep baby pictures off Facebook and help families stay close through life. A long-play, but really interesting.

I don't love the name but I can see this site doing really well. The timing's right at least. Facebook's privacy settings are not for the computer illiterati plus FB and social media in general keep hitting the news for the wrong reasons.Interesting how at one time it was all about how many 'friends' you could accrue on social media sites, but now perhaps the pendulum is swinging the other way. Or maybe I'm just old and bored of seeing updates from people I actually couldn't give a flying f**k about.

Continuing the shifting weather/clothing theme, I pondering splashing out on an actual decent waterproof jacket, rather than the ill fitting Madison one I've got now or the not that breathable better fitting thing from Decathlon.
What's everyone else got? I'm tempted by the Rapha Women's Rain Jacket - anyone here got it/rate it?
I've got the Rapha one and though I'd love to be saying this about a cheaper brand...it really is the most effective, best cut, nicest colour rainjacket I've owned, and so lightweight.I see they're £80 cheaper at the moment - do it! http://www.rapha.cc/womens-rain-jacket

So, autumn is here! To celebrate the coming of the crunchy leaf season I want to get some new 3/4 shorts to keep my legs a little bit warmer. My current ones had a fight with some velcro and look really weird now.
Does anyone have any favourites they'd like to recommend?
Hurrah for crunchy season! Repped for putting a positive spin on the upcoming cold, dark, wet, when-will-this-ever-end-ffs months. For the in-between seasons, my uniform tends to be some good quality bibs (thermal if the temperature really dips) and Howies or Uniqlo short-legged trousers (which have a bit of stretch) over the top. I like being able to roll trousers right up above the knee or down to the ankle if I need to.

Am I seeing the words working part time and students? Tick and tick!! Yay!! Thanks Miss Mouse!!
She has been chipped and I believe the agreement is she will have her 2nd vaccination on Sunday before she leaves. I wouldn't be suprized at all if they "forgot" about it.
Cool, well I would expect Battersea to vaccinate fully but if they don't, you know where to go... -

Don't use over the counter stuff like Front Line or Bob Martin - fleas have adapted to them and they rarely work.
Has the kitteh been chipped and vaccinated ExTra?

This is my lovely and very good friend, all who knew her are devastated - she was a lifelong cyclist and very road savvy. She wasn't on here, but thanks for kind thoughts which I'll let family & other friends know about - no names here out of respect for privacy. Please do leave thoughts / flowers at the spot if you're passing.
So very sorry for your loss Shiniqa. :( xx -

Anyone see that Adrian Edmonson special about old ads?
50 years ago people didn't have freezers, lived off rationed food, blah blah. It's funny that only say 30-40 years ago 'Italian' food made it into Britain and Aus. Growing up with it makes that sound ridiculous. A bit later Asian foods - same thing.
People using shared line telephones 30 years ago and now almost everyone walks around with the ability to call the other side of the world in their pocket.
Progress. There's been lots in the last 50 years. Thinking about it blows my mind.
I remember when you had to use a sweaty, stinky, public phone box to call home. -
Who knows a place in London where I can go and find some formal vegan shoes?
I am supposed to show up at a wedding next week and I can't find anything to go with a black suit. My last resource will be a brand new pair of Vans authentic in black but I'd like to try at least to find alternative solutions.I was thinking about Vx, I know they have some vegan shoes, but I don't remember a huge selection... Any other place in London that might be worth a visit?
The Natural Shoe Store has a few London branches and do stock various vegan shoes: http://www.thenaturalshoestore.com/Article/View/articleCode/Our%20Stores/
