^^ Also, at 29 of the 164 monitoring locations, cyclists made up the majority of vehicles on the road.
To be honest though, photos like the cover shot do nothing to endear me:
What's wrong with it?
Too many helmets?
I just think it's odd - these people aren't doing a professional or Olympic road race - they're going to work, yet the image screams aggression, danger, competition, angst, aliens in Lycra, and what's worse, it doesn't look in any way enjoyable. -

Haha!
Actually, I did just win an iPad Mini but can't see myself reading books on that either.
Don't care if I fall asleep with a paper book but not an expensive gadget - I have visions of me dropping, dribbling or rolling over onto it and/or waking up to find a cat bum on it or that I've been using it as a pillow - all of which would be fairly annoying.

Best spotting locations:
http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/the-top-ten-cycle-spots-8671110.htmlHa! I've been through every one of those commuter cluster f*** junctions in the past couple of weeks - didn't spot anyone on here though.

For all Drama Llamas, there's a subreddit on reddit.com that you might enjoy. It's the reddit equivalent of LFGSS Popcorn.
www.reddit.com/r/Subredditdrama
It throws up the occasional gem. Here's one from a few months ago. Backstory, guy tries seducing a girl over private messages using ridiculously overelaborate language, gets torn to shreds.
Girl then posts the PM exchange in /r/creepyPMs
Thread gets picked up by /r/Subredditdrama
Well I never thought I'd learn a new word from this creepy source. He's really dug himself a nasty hole there.

Have you chaps seen this Friends of the Earth initiative to involve the public with the creation of wildflower havens for bees all over the UK? http://www.foe.co.uk/what_we_do/bee_worlds_39332.html
Some stark stats are cited.

Why popcorn though, it's just people jumping on someone who made a bad decision and bullying the poor bugger. What is the popcorn tannoy mean't to achive other than:
'paging all trolls, please come and rub this guy's face in the shit as he made an error of judgement'
FFS - give people a break from this tedium and go do something constructive.
Repped. -

Yup, thought I broke my collar bone too and couldn't stand up for fear of crying but just shock and some nasty road rash and bike replacements is all! (the girl who borrowed it crashed it herself and ruined the headset, tried to turn a corner, no dice)
Thanks Alex. xx
You poor thing. Shouldn't she be helping with the repair costs? -

Except mercifully, walkengers don't generally wear head to toe DayGlo, helmets and Lycra, or track their every movement on a computer device, or bust a gut to overtake you (and then stop in front of you), or spit right by you, yet ;)
Christ, I sound so bitter! (Had to endure 8 hours of an eye-poppingly loud sanding machine in my house today which could explain the short fuse.)
