Spend the money on Novatec's instead. I've stripped the threading on a Quando hub very easily before, never managed to with Novatec/System X hubs. The Novatec is also sealed so the bearings will last much much longer. If the hub threading gets stripped or whatever then it's a pain in the arse to replace as you have to rebuild the wheel.
Or spend a little more and go for Goldtec. Just don't let ChainBreaker anywhere near them. He has previous.
Thanks guys :) this was what I was looking for. I may save up some and go for the GoldTecs instead.
Oh n Bodie and dont worry - i doubt ChainBreaker would want to visit Leicester any-time soon lol -

halp!
I was browsing on sheldonbrown for types of threads on freewheels.
I am planning on buying the ACS Southpaw BMX freewheeloff ebay but it says left hand drive only. What does this mean?! Is it a BMX thing - or good for SSbikes too?

Im planning on fitting a old charge masher chain that a friend donated to me as he reckons its better for my build. I have measured up and there is some extra that needs to be taken off the chain to make a snug fit. my question is how can I refit this without the pins that the chain normally comes with?

Most mass market frames are chinese or taiwanese made anyway, that includes a lot of the "own brand" frame makers. If you want something English made then you need to be looking going down the Bob Jackson, Mercian, Rourke route, but costs are much higher.
Feedback on the BLB frames are OK however as a shop they have a reputation for the occasional lapse in service standards. Shop14 is an alternative to consider for own brand frames. Brixton Cycles is highly regarded as a cycle shop as well.
Thanks Aroogah :] youve cleared up alot on my mind.
BTW have you had experience or would you recommend the BLB track frame? -
Sorry to ressurect but didnt want to get falmed to start new thread!!
Q- Can anyone recommend the BLB standard track frame: http://bricklanebikes.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/New-Track-White6.jpg
