My brother found this upload of one of the Crystal Palace raves that I’ve got on tape. I could hear that from my bedroom in Sydenham. It reminded me that I bought it in Section 5 on the Kings Road where me and a mate got those NASA jackets (Nice And Safe Attitude) amongst other bits and bobs of London raver clothing back then. Didn’t realise until recently that the shop was run by Rob Playford of Moving Shadow, so when we were in there most weekends we were basically talking to the Moving Shadow crew and we had no idea!

Aye, shot first then steam the milk 👍
If you want to do a shot into steamed milk type drink, as @Kalkhoff said you’ll want to run a bit of water through the group head to cool it down before you pull the shot 👍

No, but it seems like an improvement if you need a new one. I can’t remember how much my replacement Gaggia one was, but it was in that ballpark and I also seem to remember the body on the new one was stainless steel and not brass like the 2008 original.
I wouldn’t replace it just for the sake of replacing, because it’s a LOT of work. Full strip down basically. I’d try running some descaler through the valve first and see if that helps bed it back in.

Probably liable by the letter of the law, but I think you have to weigh up, really, what are the chances of a car with Enterprise stickers stuck all over it getting nicked? Near zero.
Hire companies are like any other company: they advertise cripplingly low prices and then desperately try to claw back their margins by ‘offering’ value-added options which are little more than clever psychological tricks to worry people into coughing up. If everyone took the base price and didn’t pay up for the options, they’d be fucked. Simple as that.

I haven't tried this, but wonder if it's possible to set up a wi-fi hotspot on the phone and connect the Chromecast to that.
It fails at the end. It basically says your iPhone isn’t connected to the same wifi as the Chromecast (which is right, it technically isn’t) and it won’t let you complete the setup.
There’s a guest mode on the Chromecast, according to the internet, but I can’t get it to communicate with my iPhone.
I wondered if there’s a kind of dodge I can do by using a router to make a wifi network but use the phone’s internet connection.
