Not tried Champix but having great success with the mini lozenges right now.
Much better than patches or gum because they give you a bit more of a hit when you are craving.
Five weeks off so far and have only sucumbs to booze related relapses once and even then it was only a couple of fags then back on subsitiute. give them a try.

Well, I was going to do this with the GirlF however training intentions haven't quite worked out and taking her on DD would amount to cruel and unusual punishment. so I am technically riding solo.
She has it in mind to meet me in Dunwich once I have ridden there.
Are there any public transport options or is the only way to drive up?

Glad to hear that the Talbot is back in action!
Not sure if I ever mentioned that it is a 1984.
Were the headset and BB french?
Looking forward to seeing the final build.
BB is definitely english.
Not sure about the headset, I just stripped it down, removed the rust and polished it and then refitted it.

So here is the finished article. Just been for a nice ride to sunningdale with the missus and to finish off the ride a quick set of photos for this thread.

So final build parts of interest.
8 spd Alfine coupled to a Jtek bar end shifter. 105 front hub built with Araya rims front and rear.
42t chainring and 20t sprocket gives a gearing range of 29.1 - 89.2 inches. A bit lacking in top end but the bike can be winched up pretty much anything with that gearing.

Pretty pleased with the armoutex finish combined with the vinyl decals. Not concourse quality but a good attempt.
p.s. I know the chain is slack, will sort that later

I'm leaving the country for Canada soon and need to understand options for converting a large amount of GBP
If someone is able to point me in the right direction I'd be really grateful!
- Do not rely on your bank doing it, you will get a shocking rate.
If you are looking to change a material amount, say greater than £10,000 then it is worth going to a specialist FX broker. I can't recommend specific firms but a quick google will find a few.
Ensure they are FCA regulated. They should have a FCA number prominent on their website. check this against the actual register http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/firmSearchForm.do ensure the dtails match up. Drop me a PM on this point if you are confused.
When you are ready to make the transaction, ring round the FX brokers and ask them for "firm rates" they will execute against for the next 20 minutes. Ring back the one that offers the best rate and trade with them.
You will need a CAD bank account to recieve the money, your current bank should be able to help with this. Otherwise, Citi, BMO and TD Bank all have branches in the City and should be able to sort you with a CAD account.

Guards and rack on the same eyelet using a longer bolt?
Should have been clearer - mounting the vertical struts to the mud guard eyes is what will happen but the bike doesn't have the braze ons for mounting the horizontal struts of a traditional rack - hence mounting to the brake bridge is needed.
You don't need to carry a lots, just one pannier will be fine.
Tubus fly is regarded as the best for the money, for the budget offering, the Tortec and Blackburn for under £30 is another option.
For sure it will only need one pannier - I just don't wantto be riding with backpack or messenger bag for that distance.
I have a Tortec and can't fault it. It's a sturdy and light piece of metal that goes on your bike. No complaints.
tortec it is then,

good - unrepentant cheat
