For sale is this Concorde Colombo:

Frame:
Seat tube is 59/60cm
Aelle tubingThere is a little bit of patina on the frame here and there but it's only surface rust. Structurally sound. The front and columbus decal are almost gone.
A bit of a mix on the all Shimano 8 speed groupset :
RSX shifters
RSX rear derrailleur
105 front derailleur
105 53/40 biopace crankset*Cranks aren't in the best condition but again structurally sound. Have just given the chain, derailleurs and chainrings a proper clean and it all works great. The front derailleur could do with a bit of adjusting, but only if your planning on using the 53X11 regularly. Never bothered me. BioPace rings!! Proper old school. *
San Marco Rolls saddle
Good condition
Alex S500 wheels
Monoo tyresThese are basically new having been taken off another bike here. I haven't used them personally but good training wheels.
Cinelli stem
Cinelli barsGood condition
So in conclusion, this bike has served me very well as a winter trainer/hack over the last year or so. Only selling as I got something a bit more modern for Christmas. It's a lovely ride and I'll miss riding steel to be honest (now on aluminium). Size wise, I'm 6'4'' and used it as it's set up here (See stem position). It's probably a bit small for me though so wouldn't want to be any taller on it, plenty of adjustment for smaller folk and probably ideally suited for someone around 6ft. Also, sold with no pedals as I've moved them to the new bike. Could probably chuck in some cheap plastic ones if you're desperate.
Price: £185
NOTE: I am based in Cardiff. Could probably find a bike box from a LBS if you want it posted although you'll have to arrange the courier (which is not included in the price). I'm flexible in terms of availability so can meet the courier whenever is needed.
I will however be in the London area on the weekend of 25th January so could potentially meet up then if you can wait.
Let me know if you want more photos

Forgot to mention Shannonball, thanks for the ride last Friday. Had great fun. Coming from Wales though, Box 'Hill' isn't really a hill is it. ;-).
With regards getting enough drop on a Canyon, you can order a 'normal' headset and a thin 3-4mm topcap should you wish which negates the need for the Acros set up which is a tad tall for my liking.
There's some chat about it here
http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=91158&p=785390&hilit=canyon+smolik+wedge#p785390I can dig out the necessary part numbers and take photos etc if someone needs them.

I've just bought this one
Haven't seen any other deal come close. Think they retail for around £200 on their own usually, here you get a mat and a wheel mount chucked in too.
p.s. says they're sold out on the decathlon website so was a bit dubious, but purchased through amazon it turned up a couple of days later.

Having bought this bike for my girlfriend last year it is now back up for sale. She is 5ft4 and found it to be just a bit too big, which is the only reason for sale.
Original sale thread can be found here......

The bike has hardly been used and as such is still in excellent condition. Only changes from the spec above is that the stem has been changed to a shorter one (3TTT) and the bar tape is now yellow. There are alloy pedals (non spd) also attached.
Asking for £250 and pickup only. Bike is in Ealing, West London and you're welcome to come and try it out if you want.
A great bike in really good condition.

^Nice frame, and a good size. I love riding my colnago.
Are they the older logo Veloflex Masters? Where did you find them?
Got them here: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/veloflex-master-22-clincher-folding-road-tyre/
And yes they ended up being the ones with the little italian flag on them. Which was nice.

Just finished this weekend. Pleased with the end result. Just had a quick spin and as you'd expect, it's bloody lovely.
Two points,
I would have liked to put italian gumwall clinchers on but the cheapest I could find were £40 a pop so those'll have to wait.Yes I know they're SPD's! They're all I've got at the moment too. I'll probably change to SPD-SL at one point although putting Shimano on this would be blasphemy right?

IMG_4254 by RhysCarrington, on Flickr[/IMG]So a pair of ventos came up on ebay and I couldn't resist. Seemed reasonable price wise and were in OK condition. Plenty of autosol (thanks Hunterlaar!), elbow grease and a new cassette later and they don't look half bad in my opinion. Had to get some veloflex to go on them. Bloody nightmare getting them on though, three pinch flats with the rear as the bead is so tight!

Aren't campag pedals a hundred odd quid!? No chance. I was stretching the budget big time towards the end of this project as it is!
Re bars. Yes I think I'm with you on preferring the classic shape. But, I do find these very comfortable on the drops. Something to ponder on I suppose. Always nice to have little tweaks available to you.
Had a look for white hoods but couldn't find any. It was hard enough getting a new pair of black ones in the old style 8speed 'pointy' tip.

No I think you might be right. It was like this when I first got the bike, which was fully built up at the time. The gears were sort of working but were far from working correctly. The derailleur wasn't taking the chain off the cassette though so I'm not convinced that they are necessary. But, as I've taken it all apart, given everything a good clean, I'd just like get it as good as possible.
Anyway, Condor replied saying that they're the same screws as for 10 speed derailleurs and they sell them for £4.99 for the pair. Mad to be paying £2.50 for the tiniest of screws (that's campag i suppose) but if they do become necessary then they're available.
Thanks again for everyone's help.

Have this seat surplus to requirements so sticking it up here. Not much of a looker but it's comfy and does the job. Would be good for a cheap build. Only thing of note is a little scuff at the rear.
Looking for £10 (postage and packaging included).
Or pick up if you happen to be in Cardiff.
Dibs and PM.

Cheers rustynuts. Appreciate your help.
