Cherry ripes are no argument for Aussie awesomeness; Artificial cherry flavour shudder, desecrated coconut barf. For some reason Mrs Bobbo loves them the standing rule is she not allowed anywhere near me for at least 30 mins after she has eaten one.
If you are after food based reasons for Aussie awesomeness I give you:

fuck yeah
Burger Rings are good - but I always thought they were a Kiwi thing. No?

I bought from them a few months back - they were undoubtedly flaky and it took about three weeks for my stuff to arrive. However, they did respond to e-mails and my stuff eventually turned up about two weeks later than I was hoping for - not ideal, but it was over the bank holiday/royal wedding period.
In my situation, some of the delay could be down to the bank holidays/ royal wedding and also that (seemingly) Velodrome Shop is a very small/one-man operation. However, the goods did arrive and no problem with anything thereafter.
Slightly pissed off at the time but time is a great healer and I would consider using them again.

I predict a small but significant slip for Southampton in the Championship. We've had one and now they're due one too.
Assuming your "we" is West Ham, I am not quite convinced that our slip can be looked at as past context yet.
Really hope it is, but it wouldn't be unlike us to have an extended period of shitness.

Tension bolt on a Gilles Berthoud saddle came loose and fell off during a ride. I contacted Monsieur Berthoud by e-mail to ask how much it would cost to replace the part and ship to London. Within five minutes of my e-mail, I received a response saying that a new part would be sent out that day, gratis.
Part arrived two days later. Top quality service from a relatively small producer.

Some prick overtaking on a bend in the narrow, segregated cycle lane on Torrington Place and nearly running me (cycling opposite direction) into the curb. That stretch is bad enough with cars trying to turn across the cycle lane without having to deal with pillocks overtaking in the most inappropriate spots along there.

Just been knocked off my bike. I was about to turn right off Westbourne Park Road into Great West Road and a car exiting Great West Road turning right onto WPR just drove straight into the side of me. Fortunately he was going slowly. Will check the frame out in the morning but seems like I got away with this one. Just a bit shaken up. Got his contacts and reg number in case there is damage to the bike and I need to make a claim - will report it to the police in the morning.
Just checked the bike and it generally seems to have come out of this unscathed - a missing bar end seems to be the extent of damages. I, however, am very sore and can see some bruising on my right shoulder and right leg. I will visit the GP this afternoon but does anybody know how quickly I need to report this to the police if I have sustained more than a superficial injuries - can it wait till tomorrow or after I have seen a doctor?

Beware of paying in instalments, sometimes that means that they won't have to pay out as you haven't fully paid your coverage.
Insurance companies are 'mares.
I'm with Hiscox and can't recommend them highly enough having had to claim in the past. But prior to that I was with More>Than who I couldn't slag off enough as all give would give you is vouchers for Halfords.
So check with the potential insurer how they'd pay out if your bike did get stolen. Would they give you vouchers for a bike store? If so, and if you have anything custom or bespoke about your bike, go check out Hiscox.
Agree with all of this - I have worked with Hiscox in various capacities over the years and I would happily buy insurance from them. Its probably worth mentioning that the LCC bike insurance offering is now a Hiscox policy although still arranged by Butterworths.
That is one of the funniest things I have ever read.
Cheers!
