The paint is staying, for now, I have a sneaky suspition that one of the small marks in the paint around the internal cable routing hole on the top tube may infact be the start of a crack... For now I'm just going to ride it and hope for the best. Should this turn out to be a crack i'll obviously have to do something about it, which would mean it would need painting, or try and find another 650c road frame that wasn't made for a child.

Has this been discussed yet?

surely nobody is paying that much? Thats 20 quid more than a HED clincher disc...

They had a pop up shop like that near me for a couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure they sent me the wrong sized seat post during the time the pop up shop was there just so I had the "convienience" of returning it in person. Then the guy working in there told me that nobody makes 27.2 seatposts as they are not a standard size and my only option was to buy a Thomson. Nobs.

OK, Thanks for the info guys.
I believe the current cassette is a 9 Speed DA.
Hed only appear to do a 11 speed conversion kit for the newer stuff but I will contact them to see if they have anything.
So would a 11 speed 105 derailer work fine with a 10 speed cassette? or even the current 9 speed one I have?
Rear OLD is 130mm
^^I'll give that sheldon page a read at lunch

@Dakin I'm gonna get some wider risers for my fixieskidda but not for this.

I have a few gear related questions, as mentioned previously I have no idea what I'm doing;
I've pretty much decided I want a full black groupset for this. Black 105 (5800) looks good and is cheap. Is this the best out there for the money or should I be looking at something else? If I can get something alot better for not alot more money I'd rather do that.
Currently the Hed has a 9 speed cassette(or is it a screw on block?) Can this easily be changed to 11 speed? or will I have to stick with 9 speed and therefor use a sora rear derailer or something?
Am I going to run into any issues fitting a modern group to this frame set?

The saddle on there is just a striped slr and its twisted and really creaky. I think to start with I'm just going to build it up with compact drops, I'm pretty sure the saddle position need to come down a fair bit from that photo so the fit with drops should be ok.
I did think about risers with aero extensions, I'm sure I've seen that set up on the forum before, maybe on the forum famous les the lo pro. It's quite hilly round here so not sure that's going to be a long term option.
