Eurgh. Been at it for a few hours this morning and I'm only up to 37pc. If I keep slogging my guts out I think I can reach 60pc or so, but there's no hope of finishing the Rapha Rising challenge. Still, it's all good training.

I live in this area Streatham, had seen a few hills over Crystal Palace way, but this is impressive, will have to go check this area out.

My fit's not bad, I've played with it over the period of 30000 miles and a few years, and moved it to the track bike I ride. But it's from optimum I'd guess, just based on what feels good and rides good.

Where can you look to get a very good bike fitting, not just a tape measure and chart?

Okay, that makes good sense. Without going to a bike fitting, is there any way to work that out?

Can you do a bike fitting without a bike, or with an old bike, and then use the information to buy a bike of the right range geo?

Can you go further in that, as I presumed they'd all be pretty much the same?
Clearly you'd need to get a size that is correct in the brand you choose.

When choosing a road bike frame, what sways one to a certain brand bar brand blindness or allegiance? Or is it just simply all in the styling? As they're much of a much in the end.

I've currently a Trek 1400, but also ride a Specialized Roubaix. So allegiance isn't a bother.

Ive had this a few years, however it's seen no proper use for a year now, I have been charging it every month to keep the battery fresh. I got a MBP last year, so this got sidelined.
