I've snapped one belt and had one delaminate in about 12 years of using belts. The one that snapped was during a ridiculously muddy part of the Dorset gravel dash with stones mixed into the mud.
My work cargo bike has been using a belt for over three years too.
The biggest problem for me is getting replacement parts. You can't get them quickly. No London shops ever have any in stock, so you have to order online and wait, which is not good when it's for your work bike.
That said...I love belts and will always choose them if I can use them on a particular bike. -
I've been reading all the info on modifying the Sram trigger shifters, so hopefully it'll be pretty straightforward.
I know someone who uses the rohbox with the same shifters and cables and really likes it, so I'm hopeful I'll finally be able to ditch the twist grip and use my 'togs' again! Something which is impossible with the twist shifter. -

I use THIS ONE. I give it a couple of months to kick in but my knees are definitely worse if I stop using it.

I realised after I sold them that I'd not been taking glucosamine for a while, and I think that might be why my knees were hurting so much.
I just ran out of it about a month ago too and despite using atacs again for ages my knees are now suffering again.
The Hopes actually have quite a bit of float and some lateral movement, so they shouldn't be that bad for my knees compared to Shimano for example.
Hopefully now I'm starting on glucosamine and collagen again I'll get on better with the Hopes than last time. -

Almost every time I'm lucky enough to not start early I see a blonde girl on a really nicely set up dark blue fixed gear, with really high, swept back bars, a basket, and a black camo bag in it... Always looking very chilled and I'm always a little jealous... Wishing I could be cruising on a comfy, upright fixed instead of grinding away my knees every day on a heavy cargo bike. 😭
Although... I do love my Omnom... It would just be nice to get a break now and then. 😂
