There is no place in civilian society for secret courts.
And besides, the best place for hate and fear is in the spotlight, in the cold light of day, available to everyone to see and hear.
Give him a platform. Let's hear his message, and let's point out where and how and why it is wrong.
I normally would agree with you Tiswas, however my interpretation of the events of Friday in Norway are that an exceptionally deluded / evil / disturbed* individual perpetrated a callous, premeditated attack with the express intention of bringing himself and his views to the forefront of the media agenda to provide him with a platform with which to preach his outlook.
My personal opinion is that in this instance it would be a huge mistake to allow him this platform, as this would send the wrong message to people who see this as an example of how to make their views heard. I see no harm in conducting a trial in this manner, if transparency is an issue then surely provision can be made to release transcripts of proceedings at a later date.

^ Can be a little hectic, lots of cars get into the wrong lane, or stuck behind buses and try to switch lanes quickly without looking properly. Don't cycle there at peak times but I would imagine that the traffic would move slowly given what it is like outside of that time frame, add to this the fact that it is a bit of an agressive MAMIL hotspot.

^ As far as I can tell (from the research I have done) woodrow's little calculation there is not going to cut the mustard, he may be charged separately for the bombing and the shooting so 42 years. Most likely outcome is he will be declared insane and a threat to the public and locked up in the Norwegian equivalent of Broadmoor for the rest of his life.
The thing that concerns me more than anything else is the fact that he seems to want to use his trial as a way to spread his world view to other like minded individuals, I really do hope that the Norwegian judiciary will not let this happen, every effort should be made to ensure that the press remember the victims of this tragedy and do not give this deluded socio-path the notoriety that he craves.

I am starting to get really annoyed with this shit. Fussballclub, every time you do the same fucking thing, your photo of the old tag could be anywhere how can we tell where it is? Could be any brick wall that has been painted red, personally I think that seeing as you did not give away the location of the old tag we should forget the fact that you tagged it and leave it open. I am not even going to bother with your photo of London's most anonymous street scene ever, play the game or >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Thanks for recommendations, went to kitchen ideas on westbourne grove and got a creuset stainless steel pan on offer, 1/3 off. nice
It's a great shop find it hard to go there as I normally spend too much money on "bargains" I don't need, and get paranoid about knocking stuff over as I have a tendency to be a clumsy oaf. Did I get the street wrong? If so sorry glad you found it.

Hey folks good to see a good turn out tonight. Enjoyed the night, and the company have to say though that sadly I really wasn't a fan of the pub. Last week people were actually being complementary about the raven, something that in my experience doesn't happen often with beers, I would therefore propose that this should become the permanent wests home
