Looking for advice for a new frame please. I’m 6’6” and have always struggled getting the right fit. I’ve got fairly long legs and I suppose comparably short torso/arms. I’ll be using it for commuting mainly and also to go on decentish rides. Would like a fairly upright position as my back suffers on a long cycle.
I’ve been looking at a Surly Steamroller, as this is about bang on what I’m looking to spend (£500). However the 62cm frame seems to have a hefty top tube.
Alu or steel, not fussed.
Also been looking at the All City Big Block. -
I was wondering if anyone here rides a 62cm Steamroller (and if so how tall are you)? I’m 6’6” and have always struggled finding a frame that feels right. I’m looking at one as a commuting bike but also one I can go for decentish rides on. I have long legs and kinda short torso/arms in comparison. I’d like a fairly up right position.
Appreciate any help/advice. If there’s any other frames people can recommend also, I’m all ears. -

So I'm building up a Peugeot conversion for my younger brother and I bought a cheap Stronglight headset from the Bay just to throw on as I gradually build up and source the rest of his parts.
I unboxed it and proceeded to try and put it on the forks but it just didn't go on further that a few mm. I then realised why.I'm pretty sure the thread on the headset shouldn't be like this...

Potentially interested in frame and forks if you decide to split.
