Yeah, it's still way more expensive than, say, Shimano stuff of the same era, which you can pick up for virtually nothing.
I managed to fluke a Chorus rear mech (medium cage), which gives me a fairly decent range at the rear, and already have the Chorus triple cranks. Could probably source a front mech for not too much, but the shifters are proving slightly costlier than I'd ideally like.

OK, I'm finally coming round to the idea I'll never get a reasonably priced Ciocc chromed fork, so I need to cut down the one I have, which has far too long a steerer with the threads way too high. I'm thinking of cutting it down so it becomes a threadless fork then buying a 1" to 1 1/8" adapter for a stem with a slight incline. As well as the adapter and the new stem, presumably I'll need to buy a 1" threadless headset, right? And check that comes with a starnut?
Cheers.

Big up to @Thrasher for the insanely well-priced, excellent wheels and for meeting me half way to deliver them as well.

As per the title, I'm after some reasonably priced Chorus 9/10 speed stuff, including shifters, triple front derailleur and an Italian threaded bottom bracket with enough width to accept a triple chainset (if, indeed, that's a thing). Doesn't have to look pristine, but nothing too tatty either.
What have you? Cheers.

I've got some Goretex Merrell Moab's going cheap here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/398153/#comment17467588
Shifters sorted.
Triple FD and Italian thread BB still needed.
