2nuts are about 37.4mm off the top of my head, so if it's way too high you haven't got much to play with.
Have you thought about, um, measuring what stack height you need, to avoid having to grind anything?
Tange do headsets with low stacks, around 32mm I think.
And remember you can mix and match tops and bottoms.

Maxxis refuse are indeed excellent, and easy to mount.
Bontrager racelite hardcase also good.
Gator hardshells are good but expensive.

Is that not a Rando that you've skidded the shit out of in the picture? If so you'll struggle to find anything much more hard-wearing. Maybe a Gator hardshell.

Rehearsing in small rooms with hardcore bands/loud gigs/factory work has done it for me, it's pretty noticeable when I think about it but tbh it only really bothers me when I go to the country and am faced with the realization (as stated by someone above) that I'll never hear silence again!
Fingers crossed it's an infection or something similarly treatable for you. Sounds like that may be the case, here's hoping.

I stopped a couple of years ago using the Allen Carr book and honestly I found it pretty easy. I would strongly advise anyone trying to stop to give it a go if you haven't already. Previous attempts had failed due to my fondness for weed but now I can get stoned and not get the slightest desire to smoke a normal fag.
I reckon it's 99% psychological, which means it can be the hardest, or the easiest, thing in the world. If you start off thinking quitting will be hell, then it probably will be. If you focus on the positives (which should be pretty easy/noticeable if you're into cycling) it will make it a heck of a lot easier.
And patches, e-cigs etc are bullshit, just money-making ventures. Swapping one habit for another, albeit much less harmful, one.
