I toured my Chareg beaterbiek round the south coast this summer. It took eight or nine days. I strapped my tent to my top tube, didn't take panniers, didn't take a sleeping bag, didn't wear appropriate clothing. Stupid idea.
...I did win a brand-new Chareg fixiebiek from Levi's, though, for Tweeting the pictures.

Highway code:
HC Rule 178 Advanced stop lines. Some signal-controlled junctions have advanced stop lines to allow cycles to be positioned ahead of other traffic. Motorists, including motorcyclists, MUST stop at the first white line reached if the lights are amber or red and should avoid blocking the way or encroaching on the marked area at other times, e.g. if the junction ahead is blocked. If your vehicle has proceeded over the first white line at the time that the signal goes red, you MUST stop at the second white line, even if your vehicle is in the marked area. Allow cyclists time and space to move off when the green signal showsoh SNAP

Nah I bet nobody challenged them. Once (when I was much younger - I wouldn't conduct myself like this now), I sawed through a lock with which some pillock had secured my bike along with his/her own. Was directly under a CCTV camera in a well-travelled public area outside a mall. I got asked what I was doing all of once, and when I said, "It's OK, the bike's mine," I quickly got left to get on with it.
Notwithstanding the time I got the fire brigade bros to slice my lock after someone had jammed it trying to rob me. That could also have been anyone's.
What I'm saying is this sort of thing is/was a piece of piss.

Then I get home and the first thing I happen to read is the above facebook thing for which the second comment is from the same guy asking for stats on how many cyclists kill pedestrians.
He strikes me as a busy chap on the internet. He obviously considers it to be a vocation.
I think he's being sarky... he goes on to say, "Oh, not a single one you say?" (might be paraphrasing)
Not that I can defend his sentiment re: Chancellor of the Exchequer.
(Source: spend more time than I'd like to admit laughing at/despairing at VICE commenters who can't recognise satire)

I've UTFS'd and not turned anything up - I want to change my Charge Plug forks over, but read somewhere that this is not as simple as swapping your regular threaded fork. Has anyone got experience that can shed some light on this? Link me to a comprehensive and pertinent website? Or tell me which lbs will do it for me?
Many thanks in advance.
