There is a new way of doing MTB sizing that seems to be gathering support. Looks like a good idea.

You're just trolling.
I'm just making a comment on how your bike look and you are getting in a flap. You seem mighty upset that someone thinks you bike doesn't look good.
I've been pretty nice, told you it's not important but you're reacting very poorly to having someone make a criticism. You have posted some good info for Chinny, that 's nice but have to except that people will not always agree with you and rather than fly off in a stop like a teenager yelling "do fuck off" come up with a better reply.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so it's completely irrelevant what you think of my bike.
Of-course beauty is in the eye of the beholder but in a thread centralised on bike aesthetics I think other peoples opinions on the aesthetics of a bike are relevant.
The point of this thread is to give Chinny some practical advice on building the bike HE likes. (He may think my bike is ugly, but that's also irrelevant.)
As I said that is good of you, but don't expect everyone to agree with your opinion, and if someone criticise it back it up, or if it's an entirely subjective point agree to disagree.

What? I said if it works well for you that is fine having fun is the important thing but to go on about how tour bikes are ugly and that you are fussy about looks and say your looks better is ridiculous. If anything it proves a point that function > form although that does not mean that something functional has to be ugly. If looks are very important your response to criticism should be better than "fuck off".

I've done most of my touring on an '80s Condor crit frame. And I share the view that mainstream tourers from Dawes, Surly etc. are fugly.
I wouldn't say your bike looks any better. Stack of spacers, bits all over the place. If the bike works for you fine, having fun is the main thing, but it looks a fucking mess and if image is your concern, I'm afraid you have failed on that point.
