Correct size shim and new seatclamp (cracked the old clamp using incorrect size + cans) arrived and it’s now rideable. Few bits of fine tuning and it’ll be done for the moment.
Waiting almost a week for that shim, you know 2020 has been a sh*t show when the highlight of the year is a tiny parcel turning up.

Got some Klampers and not used cable discs before - bit if a pain the arse to set up and not bedded them as waiting for a seatpost shim to turn up so I can ride the bike but...
The manual says adjust until 1” of throw at the lever, I prefer a bit less and would like it at 1.5cm but this is proving difficult. anyone know how I might be able to achieve this without having to true the rotor to perfection?
Or do I need to bed them first then make some more adjustments?

Open prison. I had to strip all the powder off cause it was too thick to get the grips on. pain in the rear but looks cool.
Build paused til mid week as I overtightened the seat clamp and cracked it. Brakes will take a lot of tinkering with too I think.
Trying to up my game on IG as I work as a courier and it’s nice to share things so will post most updates on there: jamestaylortayl for anyone interested.

@M_V sorted me out! Amazing to deal with and got my quite particular wishes exactly as I had imagined in my head.

Wheels taken from my ‘cruise around town’ bike as swapping it out for 650/disc.
Good condition: Hubs are not quite matching - the rear hub is a later STX-RC which takes up to 10 speed cassette. Loads of life left on all 3 brake tracks.
Hubs on the 2 wheels with tyres could do with a service if you are fussy but they ride fine. Hub on the spare front def needs a service as it’s dry (but not notchy). 32h on everything.
£50 gets you a pair of wheels, a pair of 1.95 city’s jets with maybe 500km on them, and a spare front wheel (I was gonna put a Dynamo in it).
Collection only from N4.

The room is approx. 4.5 x 2.8 metres, with a mezzanine bed and comes with a desk and and mattress.
Price includes all bills + boring thinks like cleaning products etc. 1 months rent as deposit and on a monthly rolling contract.
Desk space is available for freelance and/or WFH.

The warehouse has a large open plan living area, which gets loads of light during the day. The kitchen is a bit of patchwork, but is well equipped with a nice range cooker/fridges etc. I have unfortunately managed to kill those huge plants in the first photo (RIP) but we have plenty more. Loads of room for bikes.
2 bathrooms, one of which I have almost finished redecorating, the other one is significantly less aesthetically pleasing but works.
There are 12 rooms/housemates in total, all pretty chilled out, working in a range of different industries such as music, film, art + design, cycle courier (me) etc. Weeknights are pretty much always quiet, weekends are often a bit more relaxed with dinners, drinks + music, but no late night parties or bringing loads of friends around.
I am looking for housemates aged 25-35 who will fit in with the general vibe of the place: Reasonably quiet, respectful and capable of clearing up after themselves. No couples or pets please.
Due to the current situation I will first do a first quick chat via video call, with a view to arranging a proper viewing if that goes well.
If you are interested please send
a message with a couple of short paragraphs about yourself and the date you looking to move. If you require use of a desk in the studio please outline what you need it for.Cheers,

Need to be able to collect in London some point tomorrow. QR, 10-11spd freehub, 6 bolt preferred.
Either a cheap rear wheel, cheap pair, or maybe a nice pair depending on what they are.
