Ignore your in laws and keep 'staying fit'! IANAD but all the health stuff I've read suggests that being cardio fit and having more muscle mass is generally indicative of a longer and better quality life span. You just need to be mindful of how much longer it takes to heal be a bit more boring and sensible about what you do.

Fair comment; my daughter was the same TBH. Never ever managed to move her when she was asleep.
My niece was the opposite; could be moved from house to car to bed with no issue. I'm not bitter at all...

On the way on the train and currently having to endure 6 highly pissed twats swearing and shouting. A couple have decided to fight each other... Not the most relaxing way to start an evenings cycling.
