No worries, I am full on coffee snob and quite happy to admit it.
High end coffee sellers tend to put emphasis on buying from schemes that are fairly traded or some similar model (although not always I admit) but the real difference I think would be made if the larger multinationals who produce instant coffee also paid a fair price for coffee. Their buying power could generate a lot of money but I doubt that it is likely to ever happen; too much easy profit from controlling the markets and pushing prices down.

A (non forum) friend of mine will soon have a blue Pompino for sale. Size is medium and it's one of the older models with a longer wheel base. Will be F+F and possibly drive train for sale. If you're interested drop me a PM.

I was here today learning the whole barista trade. I'll tell you what, latte art is A LOT harder than some people make it look. Will have it all sorted by next weekend so you chaps can have an aesthetically pleasing cuppa though!
The bike side of the things is looking great too; fully stocked workshop, vertical bike parking, vintage jerseys, Chrome bags, and a Campy-heavy porn cabinet to name but a few!
I'd say a good 3 months for decent milk foam and art at least. Make sure your espressi are good though as i'm very picky when it comes to coffee... ;)

A friend of a friend has set up himself up doing maintenance and bike fits. He has a MTB background but I can hunt out his details if you want? Haven;t been so I don't know how good he is.

I'm getting a bit of "forward play" in my cranks at the moment (by which I mean that if I'm back pedaling to brake the cranks feel like they are moving before slowing me down).
Something is obviously wrong but my knowledge is limited; anyone got any ideas? -

Me, a fish out of water, after a lovely 100k up to Blakeney with Norfolkngood Audax, wandering around in town about 4.30 looking for somewhere to stop for a drink. Ended up in a little cocktail joint on King St, cute girl behind bar, mixed me a really decent William IV ... Norwich seemed nice, but could sense everyone left in town was clearing out fast to make way for Nightlife Hell to take over.
Is it me or should there be smokey jazz playing in the background with Skully looking like some Mickey Spillane character in a sharp suite with SPD's?

^^ I've done some small scale roasting with a friend and you start to not notice it after a while.
I've also found that even though I love the smell of roasting/ground coffee after a day it starts to give me a headache!
