Wow, so cool yet so impractical. I'm sure some cashed-up mod somewhere will be creaming his mohair slacks at the thought of that in his impeccably tasteful mid-century interior.
Is it a Blues breaker? I get so confused by the Marshall combos. There's a bloke over here selling a 1974 combo with a matching cab that is total chef's kiss.
Get an AC10!

Question for the room!
I've wanted to upgrade the speaker in my 80s Fender Super Champ for ages and I've just found a used Celestion Gold Alnico G10 on MarketPlace that I'm hoping will be perfect.
But I'm crap at electronics, the seller has told me it's 16 ohms and to check it'll be okay in my amp. I have no idea what ohmage the stock speaker is, I think this is a pretty standard mod for this amp.
Any ideas? Will I die? OG and upgrade pictured for reference.
EDIT: So it appears the Super Champ shipped with an 8 ohm speaker. I've also gleaned that going with a lower ohmage is generally a no-no but going up is okay. I'm sure one of you will put me out of my misery one way or another. Thanks in advance!

Do you really recommended this? I've been keeping an eye out for an attenuator for years but always been put off by the amount of choice out there. I really want a UA Ox but they're so pricey.
Neural Amp Modeler has been terrific for me but none of the tones come close to what I normally use so it's always a bit of a compromise sonically.

That's great, I got given an Ibanez Artcore ages ago, had no use for it and it was taking up space so I gave it to a mate's daughter. She was super keen at first and played it for a few weeks but hasn't touched it in years. Shame really.
Bit quiet in here, eh? The GoldBender got a fret dress and setup this week, it plays beautifully. I now want to get my white single cut Junior refinished in gold (with a black stinger), I think it would look ace. Totally pointless tinkering, I know, but it's just a bit of fun, right? Inspo and guitar in question below.
No idea how much this may cost. 🤷♂️

Nah, I'm sticking with the stock ones. That Kirk thing is a bit mad, eh? I wonder if Greeny has been on that bench.
I hadn't heard of Joe Glaser until Uncle Larry started talking about him but I've heard a few other 'big names' mention him since so I guess he's a big deal over there. Coincidentally, I bought my triple string trees from Music City Bridge on Reverb before I knew anything about him.

Yeah, I'm aware of The Verve case, the Loog made them pay alright. I'm still amazed they released that record without clearing that particular sample, it was so obvious at the time and everyone was aware of the law wrt overt sampling by then.
I'm using the BJ loop in the background under another kit, it isn't obvious at all. I'll play it to a few people when it's finished and see what they think.
It isn't gonna be a worldwide hit anyway, no one will care. 🤣

No0b question. What's the deal with using samples on your tracks these days? When I was a lad you could sample what you wanted and release it with impunity cuz nobody gave a shit.
I've used the Billie Jean drums on a track (with other drums under/over it), could that be a problem down the road? I will chuck it up on SoundCloud and could possibly press a little 45 all going well. It's gonna definitely get played on the radio so that's my main concern.
Filter the fuck out of it? Drop it and recreate it? Credit it? What are my options?
Thanks for that!
