I was thinking about getting a BRZ/86 but they're so spendy now. Same deal with the Suzuki Swift Sport. GTIs on the other hand are so attractively priced but most look dodgy AF.

I watch this astrophotography guy on YouTube, I'm looking for an easy, lazy way to stargaze, unlike what he does. The Seestar ticks those boxes but I also want decent image size. From what I can see the output is only 15cms X 7.5cms at print resolution, which is shite. Little more than a toy unless I'm missing something, which is highly likely.

If I could get A3 sized images at 300dpi resolution off it then I'd be ordering one RIGHT NOW!! 🤣

From what I can see the resolution is only 1920 x 1080, but I don't know if that's the size of the entire image or if it uses the 1920 x 1080 sensor to stitch/tile a larger image. If it's the latter then that could be okay, if it's the former then that's a bit too small. I'm not sure how these things work.

And yup, lazy person's telescope is about right! 🙋‍♂️

Anyone else excited about the ZWO Seestar S50? Can't quite work out how large the CCD is and what resolution images you'll get out of it but it looks very impressive at, er, first sight.

Or is it shit? Put me out of my misery.

It did come in very handy for a friend's funeral recently, jumped on a plane with it and just had to borrow a guitar at the other end. It wasn't as loud at the crematorium as it is in my front room, I thought it was broken!

I've seen attenuators that include a headphone socket, can't remember which ones, obvs... Is that why you're getting one, to keep the peace?

It's the primary reason I didn't/couldn't buy an EV (I bought a new car today 🦕🦖), I need 500km range to drive a client home to his family four or five times a year. But TBF I also need a 4x4 (not an AWD) and that electric option simply doesn't exist at the moment.

It's disappointing.

Man, it's perfect! My local guitar tech guy put the neck back on, there was a bit of work to do on the frets, and it's been great from day one. So smooth and quiet compared to the Parsons Green, really in love with it. The hotter stock pickups sound great too, less Nashville, more Memphis. Which is what we want! 🚂

I'd like white plastic buttons but these tuners do a great job so I may leave the poor thing alone now. The Parsons Green is on MarketPlace, hopefully it'll shift soon. Then this can go in the rack, I'm out of space. 🤡

PS You know how I was saying I love my Super Champ with the old speaker? Plugged it in today and it sounded really shit to my ears, tried different guitars through it, most sounded bad. Ugh!!! 🤣
