Bought a Baratza Virtuosa grinder yesterday from Coffee Machine on the King's Road. Good service in there and reps for giving me a free bag of house blend beans. Been saving up for a while and really glad with the results. It has 40 grind settings and really low RPM. Very excited to be buying beans rather than ground from now on....

Commuting has definately turned into interval training since Strava came along! On quite of few of the segments on my commute, the biggest influence on timing is how heavy the traffic is and whether or not the lights fall in your favour. Tend to ignore those segments, thereby avoiding the temptation to take stupid risks, and concentrate on the safer segments.
This is my current target: http://app.strava.com/rides/5933243#113094918 and chuffed to have sneaked into the top 20 this afternoon.

Nearest petrol station to me ran out of fuel today, interesting to see how this develops.
There were queues to get into just about every petrol station on my commute home. Dread to think how busy PT will be if people decide to leave their cars at home. Not that it really affects me, but there you go. Being on a bike is soooo cool sometimes.

She an attractive lady in what looks like her mid-to-late thirties? Think I've met her before. Cool girl and a very nice bike as it goes.
EDIT: Just saw the black backpack comment, that sounds like her. Mission Workshop unit I think.
Spotted this morning, I think, on Elizabeth St outside Victoria Coach Station. She gets around. So to speak.

Today's shot of choice is a Cuban bean from Algerian Coffee Stores on Old Compton St. Very nicely balanced flavour, not too strong tasting, but packs a heck of a punch on caffeine content! Recommended if you need to wake up sharpish.
