Poots - Strava's great fun AND a great tool for monitoring how well you're doing.
Being able to see where you are making improvements or which type of roads/inclines/descents you find easiest/hardest has made a huge difference to my riding.
In the same respect, after a ride 2 or 3 days ago, I could see where I needed to push harder and what part of my ride was letting me down and as a result I somehow managed to get a 25minute lap of the box hill circuit today - chuffed to bits!
Hi - seen the "Strava you" on quite a few of the same segments that I ride, particularly around Richmond way. Hadn't worked out the "LFGSS you" until now. Have put in a request to follow - hope not too forward!

250g of house blend purchased today from Tom Tom in Belgravia. Seemingly expensive at £6.80. They recommend drinking with a Partagas cigar! Contains Sumatra Takengon, Brazil Fazenda Iraema and semi washed Costa Rican (whatever semi-washed means). Won some award. Looking forward to a shot this evening.

I've seen a few segments have their leaderboards removed because they have been flagged as dangerous. Generally involves segments with traffic lights. No bad thing.
Went into Richmond Park last night to see how it might be possible to clock up the 713m per day required for the Classics Challenge. Notched up 299m of ascent in an 1hr 20m. Doesn't bode well.

Not important. Friendly. International. The two most pointless words in world football.
Just got back from Dusseldorf and had dinner two tables over from Rudi Voller. He's quite short with a silver mullet.
Jack Charlton's immortal lines on TV after the Voller Rijkaard incident "If he'd spitted on us I would've chinned 'im". Thanks Jack.

Watched Colin Firth and Julianne Moore in A Single Man last night. Beautiful direction by Tom Ford. Particularly liked the dulling or enhancing of colours depending on Firth's mood (which works better than it sounds). Some lovely camerawork, especially the recurring eye close-ups.
