Bill Nickson Cyclocross Frame and Forks 531 Competition (with a few extras thrown in) £75
55cm square, spacing 130mm. I have photos pre-powdercoating if you're interested and serious.
Nice frame and great as a runaround on Manc’s finely paved streets. Headset is fine but a little awkward to set just right.
Will throw in the guards (v basic, not in photo), wheels (rear has a broken spoke but it's 36, running true built for touring so doing just fine for around town, front 32 does the job), BB, and crankset. It's currently set up as a 1x10 but have its original pulley wheel for a downpull FD so you could do with it what you like. Also selling the tyres that are on it: Challenge Grifo 32 folding, nice light tyres, fast and very comfortable on these roads. £20
Will have lots of odds and ends to post tomo, Midge bars, chains and maybe some free camping gas. If you want touring stuff, I have plenty to get rid of and will post it elsewhere, get in touch if you're interested. Messaging is best. Bit short of time packing and moving so please only get in touch if you're serious and can meet evenings this week, cheers.

Price drops on the bike and frames above:
- DMR Trailstar now £95
- Cotic Roadrat now £65
- Raleigh Gemini now £35
And some more details on the Trailstar:
DMR Trailstar Hardtail. 1x7 Track ends. Allegedly 1 size fits all but anything beyond 6 foot would be a bit squashed I think.
Front NRX suspension with BB7 disc brake on XT hub.
Rear likewise XT but with a red Shimano DX V brake
Mavic D521 Rims
Front tyre = Maxxis High Roller 26x2.5
Rear = Panaracer Rampage 26x2.35
Spares = have some slightly narrower, less downhilly tyres too which I can chuck in, not sure what they are right now
ethirteen single speed chainring is 36 to 7speed cassette, 11-32
Rear mech = Suntour XCD 6000 Accushift
Front mech = not on the bike but have it and can include
Shifters/brakes = Shimano no name 3 x 7 (the left shifter is on so with the front mech and a couple of chainrings - which I don't have - you could convert it back to a regular mountain triple pretty easily)
Headset = Cane Creek SC1
Bars = Race Face Evolve DH Riser
BB = Shimano External BB Hollowtech II, SM-BB51
Cranks = Shimano Deore Hollowtech II FC-M590
If it's not listed then assume it's a generic no name part eg seat post and saddle. - DMR Trailstar now £95

@Heitzman - I've messaged you.
Going to take these down tomo so that I can post elsewhere without getting into trouble with mods! They need to go so do get in touch if you're interested, cheers.

DMR Trailstar Hardtail 1x7 Track ends £115, allegedly 1 size fits all but anything beyond 6 foot would be a bit squashed I think.
Front suspension with BB7 disc brake on XT hub.
Rear likewise XT but with V brake.
Chainring is 36 to 7speed cassette, 11-32 I think.Raleigh Gemini early/mid 90s? 531 F&F with headset, 58cm, semi horizontal dropouts. No dings, paint ok. Billed as 'Mountain lite' and solid as anything - would make a good tourer, bit like a Surly Crosscheck though clearances not quite as big and no holes for front low rider rack. Rear spacing is 127mm. £45
Cotic Roadrat large F&F with headset. No dings at all, paint in good condition. This is the earlier model with disc and canti mounts (though I don't have the screw in canti bolts so unless you can get some of these you'd have to go disc). Track ends with sliding derailleur hanger. £75
Don't have any pics of the Roadrat at the mo but google will provide that. Best just to come and see (near Trafford Bar) if you're serious, will wipe from here in a week or so and put on ebay as need them all gone by middle of May. Thanks for looking.

Hi
Looking for £25 for this Apollo folder - very functional but that's about it. Old Trafford area.
Less urgently, I'll be selling the below as whole bikes when I can get some time to take decent pics and measure up. Mention them here now as a 'heads up' in case they're of interest. Hopefully add details in 2 weeks or so - the first one certainly is a bit more off-topic, CTC forum would probably better suit (that's where I bought the F+F 2 yrs ago) but this is local and I hope no-one will mind. If interested, as with the folder, please message directly, thanks.
56 or 57 (will have to check) c-t-c M. Steel (aka Dave Yates) tourer, 531ST tubing, great condition. 2x8. Probably around £350.
56 or 57 (ditto) c-t-c Bill Nickson cyclocross, 531 Competition, great condition. 1x10. Prob £250.
I had both bikes powdercoated as paint well worn on both so without original decals but I have photos with frame no's etc pre and post coating.Cheers.

I'm looking to use bits I've got to build up a cheap CX rear wheel that can serve for touring too. I have a hub and a rim lying around but as luck would have it they don't match so after...
either
a 130 oln, ie road, 36 hole, Shimano fit 8,9, 10 spd hub. In black would be ideal.or
a 32 hole, 700 rim that's reasonably strong and can take tyres around 32+ so probably internal width of 17 or 19mm.Thanks in advance...

Thanks rhb - I'm not sure and to be honest not sure it changes things in terms of what happens from now on. Police saw somebody tampering with it but refused to investigate further as after beginning a look through the suspect's bag they said it'd be unsafe to continue because of needles. They drove on. Within half an hour the bike was stolen. Now, this isn't a comment on users or drugs of choice since that's none of mine and anyway, after Will Self there's plenty of other ways to fund any kind of habit right?! I mention it though as more a shout out to potential customers in the re-sale community that something's been nicked by somebody who's unlikely to be doing much touring in the near future so would likely sell it to somebody who might sell it on to somebody etc etc. And if a Thorn, black tourer turns up then to think twice.... hopefully they would do anway ;) Thanks again.
-
A colleague had his Thorn tourer stolen last Friday, 26th Sep, from outside Sandbar...it's black, 26inch wheels, racks front and rear, and bar end shifters so it's only going to get bought by someone who knows what it is....which makes it even more frustrating. Anyway, if anyone hears of one knocking around, for sale at a silly price, then please get in touch, cheers.

Price drop on the Apollo folder, now £25. The Winster's still available, free.
Winster F&F, 58cm seat tube ctc, headset's all there in bag + a stem. Paint is shit and plenty of surface rust but nothing structural it seems. BB bearings could do with grease. But very long horizontal dropouts and general undesirability would make a great pub bike. Now free.
Apollo folding bike, not much to say. It's basic, it goes, it all works, brakes aren't magnificent but they stop you. Single speed. £35.

Moving to much smaller house so here's a whole bunch of stuff, nothing that exciting, more safe and sound older steel frames + bits and pieces of a generation ago. Mostly accumulated off ebay and jumbles - selling for same (rarely) or much less (most of it) but if you think any of the prices are way out, let me know politely and I'll respond happily. Lots of it more suited to CTC but prefer to go local first. Frames & Forks (all include headsets and seatpins), do not include the other stuff on them unless explicitly mentioned (lots of stripping down still to do). All been framesavered/waxoyld...all measured ctc ie centre of bottom bracket to centre of where top tube meets seat tube. I'm 6 foot, a bit short in the leg if that's any use.
Please dibs only if you definitely want it, can make the time and will pm straight away – thanks. Pick-up from Chorlton/Withington area but I might be Oxford Rd area this week for more portable bits.
1) 16t, 1/8inch no-name sprocket, unused £2
2) Stronglight, square taper 52t chainset, noticeably not straight but reportedly worked just fine (was the guy's at Popup Bikes) £1
3) Kool-stop pads picked up from a cycle jumble. Note, the bolt isn't very long so didn't work for me on either cantis or mini-V's, someone else might be luckier. Free
4) Quill stem, 1 inch ie 90s/2000's MTBs for 1&1/8 threaded forks Free
5) Adjustable Quill stem, 1 inch ie 90s/2000's MTBs for 1&1/8 threaded forks £5
6)

8)
9) Road wheels Sold
10) Planet X Kaffenback Sold
11) Campag Omega rim, 32hole Sold
12) Winster (family affair, normally handmade near Grenoble apparently....though this frame must have been one of their more basic!) road F&F, sorry forks not in pic but I have them, gas pipe tubing 58cm seat tube ctc, headset's all there in bag. Paint is shit and plenty of surface rust. BB bearings could do with grease. But very long horizontal dropouts, longest I've ever seen in fact... and general undesirability would make a great pub bike. £5
13) Coaster brake wheel, lots of fun, had it on no. 7, above for a while, 17t sprocket with v minor use, decent rim, 622x17 so probably 28mm+ tyres. Current tyre not included. £30
