Christ, spent about 2 hours today building a wheelset with Comp straight pulls and prolock nipples. NEVER AGAIN! The only way I could hold the spokes still was to grip as much of it as possible with my spare hand and a paper towel. No number of soft-jawed grips etc. would hold it.

I've mixed and matched most shimano levers and calipers with no problem. Even dismantled levers and swapped the blades between them. Zee and Saint don't push any more fluid than others. I guess the overall surface area of the four smaller pistons is the same / very similar to two larger ones.

Never been stung by tax on stuff from aliexpress.

I took delivery of my EVZeros last week. They are very very light. I'm going to try and weigh them this week, and generally compare them to a genuine pair. From a quick once over, the hinge is a bit stiffer, generally the finishing isn't as good and the lenses (as with all my fauxkleys) just don't seem quite as good. Not bad for ~$15 though.

Depends, for commuting and riding in the UK, I'd say the normal ones are fine. If you're going to be doing lots of descending, the Ice Tech ones are better. Ice tech will need replacing more often though, and if you're going to using them on busy dirty roads it might not be worth the extra money.

Pearl Izumi PRO Aero WXB? Very waterproof, a bit of stretch, not quite as tight as Race cape. Only good if you have long arms though.

Also happy with Fake POC blades. Frame quality seems very good, better than my fauxkleys, the lenses do have the same very slight distortion that my fauxkleys have, and my genuine Oakleys don't. They are very large and quite a nice change from jawbones, almost feels like wearing ski goggles.

Will a Cane Creek BAA0696K 1 ¼" 47mm OD bearing work as a replacement for a TH 970 which is 46.8mm OD?

I took some inspiration from your thread, downloaded Fusion and had a go at designing my own hub. Bad idea, as now I need to buy a lathe and a mill to make it. I haven't yet got around to simulations, I think that'll take a bit more learning.

Anyone else with a TCX SLR 2 that gets rotor rub when sprinting / climbing out of the saddle? I can only imagine it is due to flex in the forks, and it's happened on the factory forks and the warranty pair on my bike. Can't get the pads much further away as the lever throw will be too big. I was wondering whether an upgrade to some DT RWS skewers might make a difference.

Anyone here got the POC climbers jersey or know how it fits? Their sizing info on the website is terrible.
