feel your pain with the CTF, I dont know whether anyone saw my last couple of posts in here, but I basically got a bike nicked, and then found a couple of ads on gumtree with parts from that bike on, saddle, bars, brake levers, cranks etc.
sent all the info over with pictures for proof that they were my parts, couple of days of communication after a bit of a wait, and I just received this...
''*Elliot, I have made enquires into this advert and have met the seller
at his home address where he stores his pedal cycles. The seller buys
vintage pedal cycles which he does up and sells on, he did buy a gazelle
pedal cycle which was in poor condition and he used parts off that pedal
cycle to make up other bikes he has either sole on or is in the process
of selling on. I have checked the parts he still had remaining and I am
sure that they did not come from your bicycle. The person selling this
bicycle was very open and honest with police.I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome for you.*''
are you fucking kidding me!? he's admitted to buying my stolen bike, but thats cool and you're going to let him carry on selling the bits of mine that he hasnt managed to yet!?

Mate just had a Bianchi green coloured Raliegh stolen in Hackney. No pic I'm afraid. It has drop bars with drop levers and one x top lever fitted, no decals...
the one I posted earlier, which has been removed had a sort of celeste green paint job, looks like rattle can or powder coat, and a raleigh headbadge. the guy selling it has other bikes so is contactable if it is yours.. has my bars and saddle on so Id be interested in forming a hit squad if you fancy it. the cycle task force haven't got back to me...

this arsehole has my handlebars and saddle!
EDIT
reckon he may have bought my stolen bike and swapped bits to another build?theres no doubt that theyre my parts, wrapped the bars from bike below, in gold cello tape, same shit finishing where the plugs are, and same brake levers/cabling etc!

If anyone sees the above frame its likely on its own.
have contacted seller regarding having a look, maybe he'll have the rest of my stuff stuff at his house, but not really sure of what to do even if he has the rest of the bike, doubtful that he was the one who stole it, unless he's a particulrly massive wanker, who builds semi tasteful bikes from stolen tasteful bikes.

if you go SS, and the rear has a screw on hub then just keep the wheels, if you replace them with 700c you may have to get new callipers with a longer reach etc, tyres are fairly readily available for 27s, so no serious reason for swapping imho.
I'd ride it as is really, perhaps keep adding the missing dura ace bits and you'll have a nice groupset on a nice roadbike, perfect for both uni commute and the longer ride..

Im off to the alps over new year, need some boots, as the ones I got off someone off here turned out to fit really badly and completely crippled my foot, so need some super comfortable boots, size 11.
also on the lookout for some nice baggy black waterproof pants, and a large black jacket, and some decent gloves, as all my gear is a bit knackered.
let me know. Im 6'2" and prefer a looser fit etc.
cheers.

Apologies for the crap picture, but it's done!
Bar finding some black campag/binda toestraps, which seems pretty unlikey, Im very happy with it, thanks to all who helped with parts.
could do with a track stem, but rides very nicely as it is, really quick. Only issue I have is a strange whirr coming from the chain, but as the chainline is perfect I cant think it's a problem noise, pretty mystifying though. Would like to lose a spacer from the headset, but nervous about cutting threaded steerer myself!
