Thanks for the reply Mr Bump, appreciated...
It's for a bike I've been building for an age, so I'll probably just wait to find a replacement arm or different crankset. I did manage to ride it before I spotted the crack so got to try it out at least. Otherwise that arm would've been tempting to enable a test ride!
-
Looking for a Left Hand Stronglight Cottered Crankarm or a Crankset. Like this one below. 170mm.
Think it is possibly Stronglight 'Standard' model No. 54. Although a similar Stronglight match would suffice.Mine has a cracked at the cotter hole... I may have been overzealous pressing the cotter in?
Or maybe the re-chroming weakened it? It does look a bit like the plating prep-work was maybe overdone.Anyway, if someone has something I'd be most appreciative. Or even if someone spots an orphan arm at a cycle jumble I'd be more than happy to reimburse.
Cheers!

Yes, I'm 99% sure it's 1.32" x 24tpi. So my hope is that a different lockring might be more sympathetic! There's a tiny bit of thread that might be causing a problem too. Hadn't noticed it before. LBS are going to bring in some super fine files that can fix the piece of thread. Just have to see how it goes from there! At least the cog threads on fine!

Hello,
I have a Campagnolo Record Pista hub, late 60s or 70s. I understand it should take a lockring that's threaded 1.32" x 24tpi. Thought the Phil Wood one I have would fit, but it goes on about 3/4 turn, maybe a little more, then is super tight and goes no further.
There's nothing wrong with the lockring, it's an unused spare and it screws on smoothly to a Phil hub by hand. Threads also look fine on the Campag Pista hub. I've used grease to help, but still binds. Keep feeling tempted to try using a lockring tool to push it through the binding point, but figure it could be a bad idea and I don't want to risk messing up the threads.
Measuring across the Campag hub's lockring threads they come out at 1.315" so are what I would expect for an Italian threaded hub. (As do the lockring threads of the Phil hub I tested the lockring on.) Did they ever use a different TPI for Italian hubs? I can only think it's an issue with the hubs threads, but as I say they look fine.
Any ideas before I buy another Italian threaded lockring to see if it works?

Cheers, was considering this...
I did measure with digital calipers, but the tube at the top is a bit out of round. Then averaged the measurements to try to get the size right.
Think I'm going to try to get a cheapy 26.4 or 26.6 from Bike Recycling place and make sure of the size. The 26.8mm goes in fine at the top, but I think it may be 'spreading' the tube a bit. Seems less keen to go in when about as deep as where the seat stays meet the seat tube. This, plus tightening down the collar and measuring now makes me think it's maybe for a smaller post than first thought. Being filet brazed with no lug at top of seat tube, I think I must have made the mistake of measuring without the seat collar on to compress the tube a little. If that makes sense!??? I'm used to there being a lug there doing that a bit!

Looking for a Campagnolo Seatpost, 26.8mm. **Correction - 26.4 / 26.6mm **Any model of the two bolt type.
I have a 27.2mm one I could swap. SOLD
I'm in Edinburgh so need to be happy to post. I also need it asap as I don't have a bike until I find one!EDIT >>>> 27.2mm post sold via forum to help funds.
Cheers, Daniel

Hello,
Just a couple of items for sale...
Campagnolo 'Two Bolt' Seatpost. 27.2mm Would swap for a desperately needed 26.8mm one SOLD
I think Record or Nuovo Record but never sure with these. Good from rails to 10cm down. Bit of zigzagging down to insertion line after that. Could polish it out a bit.
*£33 including postage* (Postage is about £3.00 according to Royal Mail Price Finder)* SOLD*Vittoria Randonneur Tyres, White, 28 x 700c
Only very, very lightly used. Tread really isn't far off new at all. A few grubby marks, but overall really clean, basically how a new set would look after one ride!!! And were on a geared bike so no skidding.
*£20.00 including postage* (Postage is quite expensive - £5.30. Royal Mail website seems to indicate only standard parcel service is possible due to weight & size)Wasn't sure how to price used tyres. Cheapest via Google Shopping for these was Wiggle £27.58 for a pair. If they are even cheaper elsewhere or my price is too high just let me know.
Any questions or anything just give me a shout. Donation to forum will be made if sold.
Cheers,
Daniel

I've got a set of used silver Independent trucks, around 210-215mm wide, with 55mm 'Pointblank' (not sure of brand) wheels and bearings.
And a set of purple (bases are purple) and silver Venture trucks, around 220mm wide, with 59mm 'Platinum' (not sure of brand) wheels and bearings.
Both sets are used but very lightly, particularly the Indies. Both in really good condition. The bearings even seem alright. Especially as they're actually both probably around 10 years old! I've obviously not looked at new skateboard stuff in a while so no idea of prices these days. Only (very!) occasionally use what I have. Let me know if either sound of any interest and I can take some snaps of them.
-
Yeah sounds like they'll be too small. Nevermind. Thanks for looking, appreciate it.
Regarding working out the BCD...
If you measure from the centre of one chainring bolt hole to the next, it would be just over 100.4mm for 116 BCD.
You can work out BCD from the centre to centre measurement by x 0.155 for three bolt chainrings.
eg. 100.4 x 1.155 = 116 BCD
-
-
this is what i have - i know nothing about cotter pin tech but i'm guessing it's not what you're after - happy to freecycle if anyone does want it though
Yep, not what I'm after. Those look the type that one ring and the arms are all one piece. But thanks for looking. Appreciate it.
http://www.lfgss.com/thread83304.html not long posted
Thanks for pointing those out. I'm ideally looking for something with a slightly more elegant shape. But may change my mind if nothing else shows up.
Looking for a chainring to fit a 3 arm Durax cottered crankset...
BCD is 116.
The holes for the chainring bolts on the chainring need to be larger than just under 9mm diameter.
Looking for both a single 1/8th chainring and perhaps also double rings, probably 3/32 for those.
Needs to be good condition.
Any help appreciated. Cheers, Daniel.
