Sadly I cannot take credit for being in this thread :-( The fork is indeed columbus max but the main tube set is columbus EGO

Though I would happily say Ego is almost as good if not more special than Max, Each tube is tear drop shaped and about 1/3 as thick as they are tall. Its impossible to photograph but there are some more photos here:

Bit of a fail having a bike built for 24hr endurance racing, but without drop bars for maximum hand positions.

Current state of my first max frame. A friend is building it for me, Can take 30c tyres and will be a fixed/singlepseed street machine!

oh and features a columbus ms downtube used for the wishbone!

Yup is has DG 042 J.HILL NZ

so from my understanding it was built by Don Gibbs from New Zealand frame number 42. and was buil for J. Hill. at some point in its life it was branded with mendez. but itl stay that way.

i know its columbus tubing so ill probably get some columbus stickers to complete the look im just not sure what type.

so built this mendez track, with is actually a don gibbs built frame. and i love it. however i got offered silly amounts of money for the wheelset and have since sold that shamals,

i have picked up a set of NOS campagnolo bora first generation, which i plan on converting/rebuilding into a set of track wheels

my question is if i go new black shinny wheels the paint it just going to look a bit shite. plus i dont think its good for the frame as is atm. as there is surface rust. so what colour should i paint it. all te components will remain the same just campy black carbon bora wheelset.

Im tempted to go white with a very thin silver flake clear coat. and the chrome the fork and paint the crown the same colour. ideas anyone?

yea. they are super comfortable to ride. this bike is my daily and i absolutely love it!

i think this has been posted in other threads already but yea. this is the latest on my Foster. i really want to put the bullhorns back on but my da stem is fucked :-/ so having to get it re machined hopefully turning it more into a conventional stem type design.
