I am starting to like the AeroPress a bit more. Just going a bit finer on the grind suddenly yielded much better results. Part of the fun with coffee, for me anyway, is the trial and error and the 'research' and experimenting. Even if the AeroPress doesn't become my favourite method of brewing coffee, I am glad I could give it a go and I will find some use for it.
I remember the inventor mentioning that the paddle should be used so that you don't scratch up the filter paper whilst stirring (or the plunger, I guess, if using the inverted method). The handle of the measurer probably works fine, although I have just spotted a large burr on the end of my one.
One thing I have noticed is that the process itself does not feel particularly smooth. For example, I often find myself unsure where to put my paddle down after the first stir, unsure where to put my filter cap, trying not to scald myself whilst rinsing and preheating the filter paper, dripping water everywhere, etc.

I want to give these a shout out. Up there with the best mince pies I have ever had. Currently reduced from something like 2.29 to 0.99 in our local Aldi
If I were to receive the chance to review them on https://mincepiereviews.co.uk/ , they would get a 9/10 from me.

This reminded me of a new one that has come on fairly recently: revolving doors. Something about the weight of them and their momentum once they get going sets me off thinking about decapitation. I don't care if I am holding people up or even if I miss my window and have to go round a second time, I have to make sure the timing is perfect before I enter/exit.

Glad it's not just me. I think you're right about the mouthfeel. I expected fewer of the oils to get through but was a bit surprised with the resulting cup. The metal filter seems like a good solution, but I'm not in any rush to buy yet more coffee crap just to get the coffee to taste like the coffee I can make with my other equipment. I might relegate it to office use if/when we go back. Can't wait to have to explain this new device to the same people who had never come across a cafetiere before...god offices are awful places.

I have just got one and am using the inverted method. 15g of coffee, 200ml of water, stir, leave for around one minute, stir again, flip and press. I have not been blown away by the coffee it has made. Perhaps too much hype or maybe I need to work on it. I have only used it around four times so far. The coffee just takes a bit too ''clean'' and I think I might go back the humble cafetiere tomorrow.

Good afternoon and season's greetings
I am looking for some Shimano 105 ST-5800 levers if anyone has any that they would be willing to part with. I would probably also be interested in similar spec levers (e.g Ultegra ST-6800); the important bit is that they need to work with rest of my 2x11 Shimano 105 5800 groupset and be suitable for use with cable actuated/mechanical disc brakes.
Alternatively, the bike might go in a different direction if someone had some TRP RRL levers and/or Shimano Dura Ace 9000 11 speed bar end shifters that they wanted to shift.
Thanks in advance!

I didn't know that Calm with Horses was on Netflix, thanks for the heads up. It was one of the films that I was looking forward to watching this year but didn't get to see on the big screen. Particularly gutting to ride past our independent cinema of choice and see the poster every time that I went to pick up coffee. One to watch tomorrow!
