Thanks to @Netakure for the pedals. This bike needs a bit more work but is done enough for the time being.

I can't keep neglecting my chain.

@Lukas is this the jumble sale one? We may have to discuss this the next time we're at the traffic lights, although you will have to condense your sales pitch because I can't keep up with you once the lights go green.

@stevo_com unfortunately I couldn't be arsed cycling to Sainsburys so opted for Laphroaig Quarter Cask instead (currently £25 at Asda).

@Lukas @edscoble I think that the saddle is level, but that photo is just bad. With Concors I always find it hard to tell. The bike was also leaning away from me when I took the photo.
I think that I need to move the saddle forwards because when I watch my leg whilst pedaling it looks a bit funny when I get towards the bottom of the pedal stroke. It is as if my knee is in the wrong place in relation to the ball of my foot. Apart from that though I am nice and comfortable so I should probably stop obsessing about it and ride my bike a bit more and work out whether it actually matters!
BTW it's a 54.

I got a litre of The Botanist from duty free and then got back and realised that I didn't have any tonic.
I've never seen quadruple distilled whisky! When I went to Auchentoshan they were making a big deal about their triple distilling process. I even found the below spiel on their website
"And it’s also absolutely unique – no other Single Malt Scotch Whisky goes beyond two distillations for every drop."

The Manchester Beer & Cider festival was great! Highlights probably the Cloudwater Brown Ale and Marble Stouter Stout. Lowlights, going to the bar and being told that the ones I had circled were "finished, finished, didn't turn up, finished, finished" and so on.
More love for Magic Rock: tried their American Brown Ale, The Stooge, and it was really good. Also like their Salty Kiss, although the name always makes ordering it a bit uncomfortable.
Just got back from a great trip in Germany which was one long weizen/dunkel fest.

No worries, I am used to it now! @Lukas

@rhb that sounds good! I am meant to be going this Saturday, but I'm going to have to go down early after missing the online tickets.

That makes me feel a bit better about missing it! @Lukas saddle sounds like a bargain, and nice to see you the other day

Old (and sideways): that bit at the end of Chorlton Green that people like to run through when a bike isn't blocking the entrance
