First and foremost, many thanks to the organisers and everyone involved in making TLC happen, both myself and lady esstee had a great time.
A fantastic day out, as always. Also top work to mrs esstee for not only putting up with estee, but caning the entire route and still looking impeccable at the finish.
Yeah putting up with me was indeed the hardest part of the day for her, but she's developed a thick skin and she managed well. It was her first bike ride in london and the longest she's ever done, but she loved it and insits we come back next year.
Great to see so many familiar faces, new and old. London is indeed a small place when you got a bike, some sunshine, and some pals to ride with.
Until next year....

cheers will look into that, I was thinking about doing rapha hotn on the Roadie that needs a basic service (I can do everything apart from gears) but decided to do it on the rat with 32c tyres (as the roadie would take 28c max plus I'll have to buy new tyres)
I called up London Bike Workshop in clapham they said they don;t book appointments so if I can be there first thing in the morning they would be able to do this, since I am not in hurry I'll look into holdsworth and velosport. I have been to velosport couple of times, lots of pr0n bikes on display.
What is the experience with Putney cycles?
I should add the guys in velosport charge £20 for a gear tune up if you can't do it yourself, and they're always very helpful and friendly. And yes they have some very nice bikes on display.

Anyone has any experience with Cycleworx in Southfields?
Very expensive imo.
If you're prepared to travel a little further from southfields then I'd recommend holdsworths or velosport in putney, cheaper and friendlier service in both in my experience.
Holdsworth is more like an old school LBS, and they've got me out of the cack a few times, and charged very little.

Actually, what was I thinking - out for sunday as I'm going to visit some otters.
I would advise anyone planning a ride for saturday to stay out of SE london as I will be driving and potentially following the fine driving examples set for me on our Italy trip...
As long as you don't follow the example of reversing whilst looking anywhere other than behind you, then you should be fine. Give camper vans a wide berth too.

SF can you get cycleops TTs where you are at a decent price? My cycleops magneto model has no adjutsment, it's a progressive magnetic one if you want the simplicity of the the fluid ones a bit cheaper. And they're all solid. I wanted KK one but too costly.
If you really want some fancy way to measure your progress instead of using speed maybe look at using trainer road.

I recently sold my gazelle with an 8 speed tricolour 600 groupset which included brifters. Perfectly functional and from the 90s so would look period I guess. You may need to look around a while if you want all mint components though.
Here's the old for sale thread with a picture for you.
http://www.lfgss.com/thread102183.htmlIf you're new to gears it might be worth copping a feel of the different hood styles to see what suits before you lay any cash down.

Does anyone have any experience using external battery pack with their garmin 800? I need to make mine last ~24hrs.
Garmin seem to sell an external pack for about £60, but does anyone know of any other options? Or have any general advice?
