Mine was the mag burner (same colours as pic) I begged my parents for night and day throughout 1984, if memory serves me right. I actually wanted a tuff burner (knew I had no chance of the super tuff burner so never even asked for that) but alas funds wouldn't stretch to that I was told. I was over the moon when I was ushered to the garage on xmas morning and the blanket was pulled off the mag burner that they had stored there for me... wipes away tear

hugo7 - check the links above they should explain it pretty much,. basically all the excess space in freehub is filled with a metal epoxy jamming and sticking it up tight (be patient before riding - it takes a day or so to harden )
s3x cogs are just cogs for the s3x hub - single speed cogs that fit a shimano spline - see
''Single Cassette Sprockets and Spacers''
at http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/singlespeed.html#s3xcog
nothing more special than single speed cogs for shimano free hubs really
even the cogs off a cassette will work (but i didn't have the right sizes here )- single speed cogs are better as designed to keep chain on more. spacers and 12t cog came from a single speed kit - plus 2 more cogs in there too .
After reading this thread on the mtbr forum I separated a shimano hyperglide 7-speed freewheel block so I could convert it into a SS freewheel (see pic below) but in practice, as you mention number6, the teeth were not deep enough to stop the chain being thrown off when ridden. The mtbr forum thread suggests using a cog from a shimano uniglide block as they have taller teeth and are therefore better suited for this application. It was an interesting little project though and in the process I made contact with this parts supplier (Loose Screws)in the US who said they had a 15T uniglide cog they could supply me with but in the end I bit the bullet and bought a new rear wheel with a freehub and a SS kit and did it that way.

Any thoughts on why stretching is often the most difficult part of an exercise regime to stick to consistently? It's not cos it's boring as far as I'm concerned I think it's something about it not providing much in the way of immediate feedback in terms of how effective it is being...or something? I dunno but it's something I find myself and lots of other people I've spoken to struggling to stick to doing after every session.

They've increased the short sleeve jersey by £5 and the long sleeved jersey by £10.
I'm surprised that some of the creative types here are supportive of what is a blatant rip off of someone else's design work. If the tables were turned and their work was being copied so blatantly I'm sure they wouldn't be happy.
Surely with garments like these you can only really describe them as being a rip off of another brand if they were trying to pass themselves off as that brand. You wouldn't, for example, describe a black, belt up jacket sold on a market for 50 quid as being a rip off of a similar Belstaff jacket for 450quid, would you?

Thinkin of a master plan
Cuz ain't nuthin but sweat inside my hand
So I dig into my pocket, all my money is spent
So I dig deeper but still comin up with lint
So I start my mission- leave my residence
Thinkin how could I get some dead presidents
I need money, I used to be a stick-up kid
So I think of all the devious things I did
I used to roll up, this is a hold up, ain't nuthin funny
Stop smiling, be still, don't nuthin move but the money
But now I learned to earn cos I'm righteous
I feel great so maybe I might just
Search for a 9 to 5, if I strive
Then maybe I'll stay alive
So I walk up the street whistlin this
Feelin out of place cos, man, do I miss
A pen and a paper, a stereo, a tape of
Me and Eric B, and a nice big plate of
Fish, which is my favorite dish
But without no money it's still a wish
Cos I don't like to dream about gettin paid
So I dig into the books of the rhymes that I made
To now test to see if I got pull
Hit the studio, cos I'm paid in full! -
the only possibly benefits I can see are to correct muscle imbalences from poor posture/previous injuries. Hypertrophy really isnt a benefit for endurance cyclists
The thread is called "cycle related......etc" not endurance cycle related. So while there may be less benefit from strength training for the endurance cyclist the track cyclist benefits from it much more so. Having said that you will find pro road riders doing weights and they've got the best advisors coaching them so i doubt they'd be advised to train in a gym with weights etc if it wasn't any benefit.

Indeed, looks very childish now (in a good way obv) doesn't it but back in the day it were me pride n joy. Skyway Tuff 2's were the must have mags at the time (which they weren't on the mag burner unfortunately).
