Was a little anxious, my e-mtb fork and shock haven't been looked at in almost a year. Dropped the bike in at Sprung Suspension last Friday after a ride and collected it this morning. The technician had noted that the components showed almost no wear because the bike had been so well maintained. He could not believe it has been ridden once or twice a week through the past 12 months, especially through this wet mucky winter and spring. It makes my efforts to clean the bike after each ride feel worthwhile.
Also keeping it cleaned and maintained has kept the chain well below .5% wear in the same period.
Turns out Jake the technician at Sprung was involved in the development of the Shokwiz. His view is that it is great to get suspension 75-85% dialled in. He does do suspension consultations for pro riders etc or clients at quite a cost. But it's clear I cant ride in a repeatable fashion well enough to make that final accuracy in setup worthwhile, so I will keep using the shokwiz to give me guidance in my bike set up as it's more than good enough for my level or riding.

Why do I feel this is an advertorial
While claiming to be an article about snus use in pro football it feels like an opportunity to discuss influential people using snus, and that it helps with weight loss and alertness.
Why do footballers use snus?
Of the 45 men and 11 women that perceived a performance benefit from using snus, 29% and 55% respectively cited improved mental readiness as the key benefit.
Of the 84 men and 11 women who replied as to whether they had experienced certain effects, 56% and 36% respectively said snus had helped them relax.
It is used most commonly after training and after matches, with one of the performance and medical staff saying players used snus as a "coping mechanism".
The survey found the pouches are also used as an appetite suppressant, and that users often started using the products in a bid to fit in with other often more senior team-mates. For male players, 56% gave this as a reason, rising to 73% among women. -

When teaching in a group scenario the closed “have you understood” question is a quick way to get an affirmative response. My conscience wouldn’t be clear as I know that the question is poor and doesn’t guarantee understanding. Very few people are emotionally resilient or robust enough to admit they don’t understand publicly. It is dangerous for me to assume my explanation has been clear and unambiguous.
My role as an instructor/trainer/mentor is not being delivered when I am asking questions which are this poorly formed. Also I can’t assume someone has understood or been paying attention. My role is to hopefully elicit understanding so asking participants to explain things back, ideally in their own words helps me gain clarity as to have I communicated effectively.
It is the role of the communicator to communicate in a manner that the recipient can understand.

My experience is if you ask “do you understand/have you understood this” the vast majority of people will respond “yes” because they do t want to appear stupid or are unable to admit they didn’t understand or don’t want to tell me that my explanation has been inadequate.
Asking “what have you learned/ what do yo understand” is a much more effective question as I can then verify if they have received my intended communication.

That looks fabulous, I have a Fujiwara Denka nakiri that I love for veg prep.
I had been eyeing up another Yoshikane Hamono SKD knife, his kiritsuke gyuto and then got a 15% code from cutting edge knives this morning… I have a big conventional gyuto in SKD from him which is amazing but often a little bigger than I need when doing food prep for two. I also have a white steel bunka from him which gets a lot of use. His fit and finish is fantastic, a rounded spine, thin taper, and I like the flatter belly on his knives - not so good for rocking cuts but great for push cuts. The SKD has an even higher Rockwell hardness than the white steel, so keeps its edge better too.

What cunt ripped off @Skülly ‘s rip off thread?
Was tempted but would have had to redesign our house and garden in Saddam Hussein chic.
