I think it's the lateral saddle bag movement, might be too much to take for a carbon post.
Not trying to be as ass here but I don't buy that. I've been riding mine around for a year now with carbon seatpost without any issues. And I stuff it to the brim regularly.
Although perhaps it takes more than a years abuse before catastrophic failure. Time shall tell.

Iain, not sure if tyres have been discussed much, but I give a thumbs up to conti GP4000S. 205g, so only 5g heavier than pro3's. Ive been riding them now for exactly a year and haven't had a puncture. Probably done over 5000 miles on them
I hope you find an alternative to the seta too, looks boring as hell.
