If I can keep it outside that's a bonus. The garage is tiny and space is at a premium. I can probably set up some pond liner on the ground and pine spacers without too much difficulty, and cover with some more pond liner. Any risk of rotting or anything like that?
@CYOA I'd be more than happy to take some of that oak off your hands :)

Cheers @dbr @TW .
I'll do the making of whatever project I can think for it. It's just the planking and storing part I have no experience with. Can either of you recommend someone I could hire to just come and plank it for me? I'll investigate the chainsaw mill but suspect I'll get a better result if i just pay someone to do it.
For storage, is the deepest darkest corner of my garage suitable? Do I need to treat it or anything?

My soon to be father in law, upon seeing the collection of woodworking tools I have been amassing last night has offered to give me a soon to be cut down walnut tree in front of his house. (Perhaps his idea of a wedding gift!?)
As a fully fledged city boy who has never seen a saw mill, should I say yes to this most generous offer? Would I be able to get any usable timber out of it? It's ~0.5m diameter at the base so I've been told.

Can anyone advise on which I've these two blades I should get for my plungesaw? Mainly for cutting 18mm plywood and mdf. Looking for an improvement with chipout of plywood over the stock 24T. Also needs to cross cut some 32mm oak with it. Thinking the 48T? What are the funny tails behind the blade tips for the 40T about?

I ordered one of these Feliway cat spray plug in the wall things last week, which I've just plugged in this evening and I now have two comatose cats. Quite funny to watch. Usually about now they are in full psycho chase the ball around the house mode, but instead they just want cuddles, grooming and sleep. Not even begging for food.
Does this stuff exist for humans!?

I only spent 30 seconds googling, so take what I say with a pinch of salt, but some Praxis blurb says "Praxis Works screws the chainring bolts straight into the inner ring, dispensing with the usual nut, and machines a cutaway in the crank spider arms so there's room for the chain."
So unless P2M do a similar cutaway in the powermeter, they won't work. I suspect they won't work.

Perhaps I'm not using the correct terminology. When you say trim, do you mean cutting along the length of the board by less than the kerf of the blade? If yes, that's what I am intending to do. Just doing it for glue up, will be removing the minimum required to get them clean and parallel for seamless glue..

Just kidding around. Agree with you 100%. I have yet to actually use a Table saw, but have watched enough videos regarding kickback to know they are serious machines that demand respect. I shall most certainly be using push sticks, standing to the side and all things by the book with this one.
Is Pilates the answer? I've booked myself in to see a physio next week as my back has been giving me grief for 5 months now. Just as it gets better, I do another job and it gets worse. Bloody silicone strip, re-grout and re-silicone for our shower did it this time.

Well remembered! The table never made it up there due to weight (surprise surprise). Could be possibly but the spacing is about 2m between the joists so would sagging would become an issue. I'll probably put them in the shed for a while then move them into the loft or garage afterwards for final drying.
