CX rays are aero profiled which is where I would imagine the benefit is at. But a 32h spoke wheel isnt going to be particularly aero compared to the 24h/20h wheelsets you usually find those sorts of spokes on.

I personally wouldn't bother, double butted will get you a good solid wheel.

Playing music really loud at them isn't an option as they're always making loads of noise themselves. I've never lived next door to such loud people, it's constant door slamming and massive arguments at 3am.

Use smaller tyre. Cant believe you would file your fork down over getting a different tyre. Get a Zaffiro or something, dirt cheap.

I like the park as well though, despite its drawbacks, is a good place to push yourself against quicker riders.

Are there any decent low flange double sided fixed hubs about? All the low flange ones I've seen (miche, campag) tend to be single sided.

Well, I just had what could be the most embarrassing spot in history.

Was cruising home with OSR post HoP through Bloomsbury street towards waterloo bridge. The traffic was epic. Spotted young blonde lady with lfgss cap. Shout DAS, so does OSR. The 3 of us roll along for a bit, I introduce myself, she tells me her name (Chris), I tell her mine, all very lovely, all is as it should be.

Then a taxi man pulls out in front of her and stops because he is pulling out into a traffic jam, I proceed to tell him off whilst trackstanding (like a boss). I then cease to become boss and lose balance (evidently cant multitask). "No problem!" I say to myself, "I shall unclip!". But my blasted overshoe is caught on the pedal so I cant. I proceed to stack it.

As I'm tumbling, i stick my arm out to break my fall, but instead I push over the young lfgss cap donning lady I met only 30 seconds ago. Somewhere during this process I also get an epic calf cramp which has now led to a limp
