That was awesome, didn't get home until after 1 though, feel a bit urgh today, HoP is going to suck later.
Sorry whatok for disappearing halfway though your story, something to do with hands over your ears?? How does the rest of it go!?
Highlight for me was definitely the tank, and the bicycle balance of bicycle at the top of Primrose was equally cool. Great photos Oat, cheers for taking such great shots.
By the way, we didn't make it as far as Swain's Lane, the clock was ticking so left it for next time.

Awesome ride idea! Is it too late to say IN? I vote for visiting the Brunel museum in Rotherhithe by the thames path. Canary Wharf looks awesome from there at night. Plus its right next to my house :)
See you guys tomorrow!

It was compact, 50x34 with 11-25 on the back. Now it has a 48T on the front. I left it stock for about 500 miles before I took it off. I don't know I could say I learnt to use them though, I always preferred going up and down sequentially on the back so just ignored the front. Might be an old dog new tricks thing as I used to ride MTB that way.

Ive got experience with this, I run my fuji roadie with a 1x9 setup. I don't have any devices for keeping the chain on and it doesn't fall off or anything like that. I used to run the outer ring on the inner position but now I have a sram s300 crank which is single speed and runs 42mm chainline. The key is to get a chainring that doesnt have ramps and pins on it. Otherwise you might have problems with the chain falling off on the extreme gears. If you do that you shouldn't need to get a bash ring or any of that stuff.
As for logic behind single ring setups, I find front derailleurs to be crude and fiddly devices. I like being able to run all the rear gears on one ring and with a front mech I always got some rubbing on the extreme gears. Perhaps if I went toured around the Alps I would regret it but as if yet, I haven't ridden a hill that I couldn't get up.

Why do people write f*ck and c*nt and so on? It's not as if anyone won't, when they read that, say fuck and cunt in their head. Seems like having your cake and eating it: not actually using the swear word - and therefore being 'sensitive' towards anyone who might take offence - but getting the effect of using one.
Its because they're watching us

I've got some lovely S-Works carbon bars sitting around. Nice except I've crashed them in l2p 2008 so they've got some rough bits on the outside right I think. The paranoid amongst us might've swapped 'em but I rode on them for another two years (only swapped them off before France trip this year as I wanted Compact bars). You want a look at 'em Hovis? Bit hard to tell but they are flat tops. Ergo bend.

You can try and break them and if you reckon they're strong enough you can have 'em.
And I was so close to checking out on some 3T bars i saw on wiggle. Fark it, they look nice and surely the tape will cover the damage. Plus, im skinny as fuck so I'd probably break myself before I did the bars. PM coming.

Anyone have any experience with the Planet X Carbon carbon road bars? These:
http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/HBPXSLC/planet-x-nanolight-ergo-drop-carbon-handlebarI bought some fancy levers for the roadbike and want some flat top bars to finish it off. Seems a lot cheaper than the rest. Thoughts?
