^ Mike 797, your bike is really nice. I've been meaning to get my 1950 Claud Butler done in a similar colour but I have to save up for some rechroming first.
Thanks mate. My first build kind of thinking twice about the colour.. Ral 7012 hmmm... Do you guys think I should put some 700c's on it and if so what colour rims/tyres? I am going to make it fixed and remove the rear brake. Do you think I should keep the bars?

My made in Birmingham Hercules. Got it powder coated (ral 7012). Flipped the handlebars around. Changed the stem. Put an old lycett saddle on and a shiny new cottered crankset. Finally I polished some of the chrome up like the fork crown cap. Not sure how old it is. It kind of looks like an old path racer now.

Guys I cant remove this from the frame. I went o my LBS and they did not try help but advised I need a tool to get a good grip of it. I went to local hardware store and bought a big tool but still cant grip it enough to remove it. Sprayed WD40 on it and everything :(
I am getting the frame sandblasted and powder coated. Does it matter if I leave it and stick with the old bottom bracket?
This frame is a 1970's Hercules.

It is a problem if you get powdercoat in there it will get in all the threads if you are having it blasted it will be easy to move that shell with a wrench when you having it done I can send you the other part to screw in.
Really appreciate your help and advice :)
What do you suggest i do about the forks? Do i need to remove anything?http://www.flickr.com/photos/30084498@N06/4886261744/ -
below is what is left in bottom bracket shell. How do i remove it?
Dont, just make it loose and it will protect the threads and use the other side in the same way then use a sealed BB
Thanks, the left hand side is open...is that a problem? Only the right hand side has that piece on and it has been painted over. What tool do i need to loosen it and should I keep it on whilst its being sandblasted and powder coated?

below is what is left in bottom bracket shell. How do i remove it?
How do I go about removing the chrome rings (dont know the name) on the headtube?
Lastly should i remove anything on the forks before the respray?
Any help and advice is much appreciated. Apologies if this post is in the wrong thread.. I am a newbie.
