I like the look of the raw Scandium.. Kinda copperish.. Can that finish be preserved?
Is the headtube 1"? Then get a skinny straight carbon Look fork in there.. Effin' sexy I'd say..yeah! it's a 1'... i made a steel fork for it.
the gold finish of the Easton scandium is only the treatment that Valdemiro gives to the aluminium frames. It´s possible (i think) to preserve it."no decals" ----------------> i think this one will be like that
hummm! great choices Malaysian ;) i'll have to test thatbradertan, as spotter said that subject is already here (lfgss). But yeah, they are custom frames ;)

IMO it should be a bright colour. It has a retro, but slightly lairy look to it. So I'd say flick through some 90's colour schemes.
My choice (in order) would be:
Yellow (either banana or LOOK-style)
Orange (either bright metallic sparkle or 70s mattish - like on old Fiats)
Lime Green
Crazy multi-coloured fliptone paint a la KeinAlso where are you getting all this Easton Scandium tubing from, and what's the rough cost of the tubing?
i'm lying if i say that i wasn't thinking about yellow. I have all the components for the bike and they are almost all black. I have a friend who has a yellow look and i love the **look of his look **(eh eh!). But i think the yellow frame only work with some black stickers on it. But that's a great choice hugo ;)
I was thinking also about metalic blue or red. (i don't know)That lime Green you said is something like this?

humm! a paint a la Klein... i think that will have to be made using an aerograph. I know a guy who paint helmets and bikes... but i think that will put the price much higher
Valdemiro had some Easton Scandium tubes. I heard him complain the other day about the new prices of those tubings. He told me that Easton asked him for alot of money the last time he bought a set. The same thing happened with steel. The fixed gear phenomenom made the steel tubes become a "fashion subject" again. The prices were down for several years but now (the laste years) the search for steel tubes made the prices go high. I also heard Valdemiro complain about that thing too. I can't tell you the price of the Easton scandium tubes now becouse i used the ones Valdemiro had.

This is the frame of the bottom Nocannondale, but does look quite similar to the top one, the 'new' one...

eh eh!
the geometry is alot different
the angles, the tubes sections, the high of the BB to the ground, etc.
This one (on this pic) was my first geometry and my first fixed gear experience. It was made not with a track geometry but not also with a road geometry.
The new one have a much tighter geometry and thinner tubes (also Easton scandium tubes) and a higher distance of BB to the ground. The angles of the seatube and head are now 74,5 and that didn't happen with the "nocanondalle" :)
The "black one" if perfect to ride long distances but as tight as the new one will be. I'm curious to see how this new frame will ride. -

just leave it and enjoy it, the bike suits the clearance, it's something a bit different. Just because 90% of the bikes that end in porn have tight clearances doesn't mean all have to be like that.
the new project i'm working now will have a tighter clearance. To be honest i still haven't ride it and i don't know if "she" will feat great as a everyday bike. If i'll like riding "her" with thight geometry maybe i'll try to tight this one too.
I made this one to be confortable on a everyday ride. I didn't set the BB so hight as 90% of the track bikes but it's as down as the road bikes. And one of the things that make her as confortable as she is is this fork with 4,5cm offset. Maybe it's better to keep her this way ;) cool! THANKS Malaysian!

just showing the new back wheel (weinmman). I prefer this one to the miche primato one because this one has black spokes.
I'm trying to find (or maybe to make) a new fork for it. I want to put the front wheel closer to the frame and for that i'll need a tighter fork (with small offset). Than i'll put a new front wheel (also a black weinmman).
I'm also looking for a cool bullhorn for it. I'll set the bullhorn with a new stem (dedda pista). That stem has a much more negative angle. I can't use that stem with this handlebar because i can't use the drops that way

Thanks for the compliments.
The wheels on the Giant are Soul C5.0s (http://www.bikesoul.com/2009/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6&Itemid=16). I've been really happy with them. They're considerably lighter than any of the big brands 50mm deep carbon clinchers and they ride brilliantly, very stiff and responsive. They've also taken a bit of a beating from the potholed Kent lanes with no apparent damage and without going out of true.
congrats bmxed! ;)
i love your bikes! -
Maybe it would help if you do it in Bikecad 1st, then email him.
(I can help you translating, but you write it ;)i think that's the only choice.
It's much better to give Valdemiro all the geometry (all the info you can get about it).
I used bikecad and it helped me alot to explain Valdemiro what i wanted. -

this is one of my singlespeeds. It's not finish yet... (problems with brake levers. Hope to solve it soon. Trying to set her with shimano 600 brake levers). For now i just want to ride her and see if she rides well. I think i will keep the 48t/15t but first i will have to take her for a long ride.
I also applied spd pedals because i have already shoes for it... i will try to "solve" that as soon as the € start to grow again

some of the components i used:
wheels: gipiemme tecno
headset: shimano 600
BB: shimano 600
stem: dura-ace 100mm
handlebar: cinelli
saddle: flite titanium -
well, i'm always telling Valdemiro that he must improve the site and start to "work" for people around the world. The problem is that he's always with alot of work (right now i think he's starting to work for bike teams - Portuguese VOLTA) and i can't imagine him standing in front of the computer. eh eh eh!
Why don't you all try to convince nuknow to take a trip to his country (Portugal) and make a huge frame demand to Valdemiro? eh eh! Hey nuknow, start to show the world the Portuguese product ;) -
not its definitely porn, How much did that one set you back if you don't mind me asking?
well, i also bought other things at the same time (miche primato track crankset, seatpost) so i might tell you the price trying to approach the right amount. I think the right price of the Easton Alloy frame (without paintjob) was 270€ and the steel fork was 50€ (also without paintjob). I asked it without paintjob. I like to paint it myself. The same thing happened with the other alloy custom bike i showed here some time ago.

still inside the plastic (3 units)

hey ;)
frame and fork ----------------------> it was near 300€ (maybe a little more. As i said i bought alot of things that day and i paid all together but i think i'm not too far from the correct price)
