the thing that i don't like with shimano is that we have to pull all the brake/gear lever to change gear. That don't happen with SRAM.
And yes, i decided to set my road bike with Sram Red. And i'm glad i did it. I'm preparing to make the same choice soon.we can spend several weeks here arguing about the BEST brand... They all work. And we all have our preferences. That don't make ones right and others wrong.

Unfortunately they all imploded, killing people in the face
All such arguments are just personal preference? Any properly adjusted decent setup will - or should - work perfectly well.
this is just my personal preference. I'm not saying that it doesn't work. I'm only saying that i don't like the way the gear levers are.

well, i think that there are many people who only think about looks.
For exemple, i HATE to ride a road bike with Campagnolo gears. I really hate it. If i found campagnolo good looking? Yeah but i sure hate the way it works.
I'm going to start building a road bike. It has an italian steel frame. Does that mean that it MUST HAVE Campagnolo group? Sure hell no. -

I think you make some really beautiful bike Noca! But sadly enough there is only a handfull of folks on this forum who know anything about technology. Let alone geometry, rake and trail, that sort of stuff. This forum is all about the looks, otherwise the tester wouldnt also be the pope around here ;)
I found this forum when i was searching for looks...
It helped me in that propose.
Soon i noticed that this same forum was also helping me to learn about geometry, rake and trail... testing that with "real" frames was even more important. It still is.
I really think that the looks is very important but i also think that we can't ignore the way that the bike rides.oooooooooh, and are you talking about the new Pope or the earlier ones? :) eh eh eh!

the main idea of this one was not to make a good looking bike.
The idea was to make a stiff and tight frame
...and also for me to test some thoughts i had about "track geo"

but even than i like the look of it (i'll have to paint it again) and i'm loving ridding with it on the road (with this compact handlebar). Soon i'll test it in Sangalhos and there i'll set it with the other handlebar and stem
